About Sarah Cahill
Hello, I am Sarah. I live with my husband Martin along with our four children nearby in a converted Oast house. We very much enjoy the outdoors. I am a construction project manager and renovated and extended the property with my team.
Sarah Cahill purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Sarah Cahill chose Cranbrook
We loved the location and the atmosphere of the cottage and it offered huge opportunities to renovate and extend it when it was purchased. With the access to the forest for walks and bike rides, it makes a fantastic place to stay to enjoy the countryside.
What makes this Cottage unique
Bedgebury Forest offers mountain biking, the easier family trails, running, Go Ape and the children's play area/ play trail. There is a cafe at the Visitor's Centre and bikes can be hired too. Near-by is Bewl Water where water sports are available along with cycling from April - October. Kent and Sussex are beautiful counties with so much to offer. .
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We enjoyed a lovely stay at this beautiful property. Stunning views. Well equipped kitchen. The weekend just went too quickly!
Lovely well appointed cottage with stunning views.
Perfect for a short stay with excellent access to Bedgebury.
It is a lovely cottage, really nicely divided into zones with the big kitchen/ diner making a gathering really fun and easy to entertain. Very cosy sitting room with wood burner and small snug too with a lovely view.
There's a deck to spill out from the kitchen area and enjoy the lawned garden and views.
It's surrounded by farmland and then views of trees
It's really clean and fresh and a joy to stay there.
We went on walks and bike rides straight onto a huge forest with bike trails etc.
Just a perfect get-away.
Only downside is we had to come home.....wish we could live there!
New and clean house, enough room.
-flowers on the tables, fresh bakes brownies
-close to shops and national trust visits
-fresh sheets and towels
LESS FUN :
-kitchen table is not stable (whips up while leaning on the ends, dangerous)
-not enough cooking pots (we were with five persons, 1 big pot is not enough)
-cushions for deck chairs were missing, (to hard to sit on without them)
-shower upstairs is too hot, not possible to get cooler
-noise from traffic, unfortunately you cannot change that ...
Thank you for the helpful feedback which I have taken on board and dealt with the "Less Fun" issues as follows:-.
Additional, larger pots & pans are now in the kitchen
The table top has been fully secured to the frame now
The boiler hot water setting has been turned down (however I did find both showers would run to cool on the thermostastic controls)
Deck/ steamer chair cushions - I am looking to source something suitable
Thank you for the information.
