2 Bedroom plus fold out With A Lakeview, Completely Furnished And Comfortable
We are a family of 3 and love being on the water in the summer. We try to make sure that all of our guests are comfortable and well cared for. We enjoy spending evenings by the campfire, days on the beach and going out on the lake to tube, wakeboard or take a trip over to the Windmill Ice Cream Shoppe on the pontoon boat. We are an easy going family and love hearing stories from all of our guests. My kids are 4 and 10. They can usually be found on the beach!
Casey purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Casey chose Tomahawk
We happened upon Loon Bay by complete accident, but it was meant to be. We had never intended on purchasing a resort, especially one that would need an extensive renovation. We started with a run down, overused property that had 3 cabins and a lake home. What we have transformed it into is a comfortable, completely remodeled hidden gem in the Tomahawk area. This is our home away from home and we want to share the beauty and peaceful feeling with all of our guests.
What makes this Cabin unique
Located on a dead end road our resert is unique that it is completely private without all the road traffic. The blacktop road is perfect for family walks in the evening without having to worry about the kids. There are woods around the property that can be explored as well as miles and miles of shoreline.

Fun time had by all
Although only 400 sq ft cabin, our very tall family of 5 made it work. Very glad we rented the pontoon boat (beautiful boat; great value). Fishing was off & on but "a bad day of fishing is always better than a good day at work". Day tripped into Rhinelander & Minocqua on crummy weather days. Thanks Casey & Mandy!
Great spot for a quiet getaway! The view from the property is gorgeous!
Casey was a great host. The property grounds are well-kept and the cabin was perfect for us!
Our family stayed in the cabin for one week in June. We overall were happy with the cabin and the pontoon boat that we rented. The property owners were very pleasant and helpful. I would say that they only draw back was that in the past we have stayed in cabins across the United States that offered the essentials that this cabin lacked. Upon arrival we were unaware that there was no heating element (electric burner/gas burner) to cook with, there were only a few rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels and two trash bags. This wasn't a huge issue by any means just not something we have come across in the past. Most of the cabins we have stayed in offer these essential items.
Great community, quiet retreat, great sand and beach for kids and pets to enjoy. The wood paths were great too!
With over 4000 acres of water to explore Lake Nokomis and the Tomahawk area is the area for all seasons. The fishing is amazing and you never have to see the same stretch of shoreline with miles and miles to explore. There is an uninhabited island just across the bay from the cabins and is a great place to hike and enjoy the untouched beauty. If you are looking for golfing, boating, hunting, sightseeing or any outdoor activities they are all within reach here. When it is time for a snack or dinner the options are unlimited with over 10 places to go right on the lake by boat or car and if you want to venture a little further there are literally hundreds more. Don't foget to stop in at The Windmill Ice Cream Shoppe, it's the must see and eat place in the Tomahawk area for ice cream and frozen treats of all kinds. Fun, relaxing, exciting....whatever your in for can be found in the Tomahawk area and within minutes of Loon Bay Cabins.
