About Amy Collins
I'm Charlotte and my daughter, Amy, will be managing this property for me. My family has been vacationing at Cape Cod Village in Cummaquid since Amy was just nine months old, 46 years! Luckily, we were able to purchase Marshfield Cottage in the '70s. We started off renting for just a week, then it was two and eventually would stay for the entire summer.
Amy Collins purchased this Cottage in 1976
Why Amy Collins chose Barnstable
We're not the only ones who have fallen in love with "The Village." We have more than a few friends who have owned or rented here for more than 50 years! Each month has it's own benefits... During June, it's still quiet and you'll find a peaceful respite. In July, the Village is full of adults and kids playing games, flying kites and just enjoying the beach. In September, things quiet down again and you are able to enjoy Cape Cod when the leaves start to change and the temperatures a magical time.
What makes this Cottage unique
Beautiful, scenic spot. Marshfield Cottage has more privacy than most other cottages in the area, as it's tucked away at the end of Tokamahomon Road. It's a place where you can be active or just sit back and relax.

The Northside at its best.
Charming beachfront cottage north of 6A, for those who don’t know, that means a laid back and tranquil vacation. It’s off the beaten path, which was just what we were looking for. Spent 90% of our time either on the beach, or on the deck enjoying the scenery. If you are looking for a go go type of vacation this is not the place for you. Amy, the owner has put a lot of thought into the guests needs, and it shows. She has sand toys for kids, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels etc. Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need including plastic wrap, ziplock bags, napkins, paper towels, and there is a gas grill outside as well as 2 hammocks. Perfect place to get away from it all, and recharge. Thanks Amy!!
I am glad that you had such an enjoyable vacation!
Marshfield Cottage is a magical place & I am so happy that you enjoyed yourselves as much as my family has for over 40 years.
Hope to see you again next year!
Great, private location with ever changing views. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets right from the deck. Cottage is cozy and comfortable, well stocked and has a very nice outdoor shower. We were surprised there was no TV, but actually enjoyed not having one. The down time was so relaxing and peaceful.
Our fourth year visiting, which should tell you how wonderful it is. If you love privacy, this is the place to get it on the Cape.
Four years and ready to come back in 2020!
As promised ! And more.
Exceptionally clean and well stocked with supplies I didn’t expect, such as small shampoo and conditioner, bug spray, aloe, etc. And in the kitchen, plastic bags, tin foil, Saran Wrap, corn on the cob holders, etc. There’s a fan, along with powerful A/C, for muggy nights, beach chairs, very pretty bed spreads, and nicely decorated throughout. The sandy beach area is accessed through a short path right next to the cottage. All in all, this exceeded my expectations. And I did not mind that there is no TV. It was a relief to not be tempted by the news!
If there were six stars.....Marshfield Cottage would get them
Marshfield Cottage is an oasis off the beaten track. We like it so much that of the 14 nights we stayed, only 3 dinners were off property. We can't wait til next year.
Happy to hear that you both had such a lovely time on your vacation. I hope that you were able to cook up some delicious striped bass for one of your feasts. The kitchen may be on the smaller side, but it sure is functional! There’s nothing like sitting on the porch, watching the sun set, and enjoying a home-cooked meal.
I look forward to having you stay in 2020!
Nice quiet peaceful spot with spectacular views!
Marshfield Cottage is in a great location! It is at the end of a dead end street, steps away from a private beach. It was quiet, peaceful and full of bunnies and birds! We enjoyed Barnstable Village and walking around the Audubon Reserve. Amy was wonderful to work with!
I’m so happy that you enjoyed your stay.
Hope to see you in summer 2020!
