Hello, My name is Karla Gibson. I bought this property and have developed it over the years. This rental was built in 1992. At that time I purchased 75' on the water where the game room and boat dock are located. I have lived in the Hayden area since 1973. I owned and operated a motel & RV Park for 29 years. I live on site and happy to take care of any needs that may arise.
Karla purchased this Townhouse in 1992
Why Karla chose Hayden
Hayden Lake is a wonderful place for a family vacation. The lake is great for water skiing, tubing and fishing. The water temperature is comfortable for swimming during the summer months. We are located near Silverwood Theme Park and families usually spend 1-2 days there enjoying the rides and water park. At the south end of Hayden Lake there is a restaurant on the water. Honeysuckle Beach also provides a place for kids to play on a sandy beach.
What makes this Townhouse unique
I love the peace and quiet at the lake. There are birds and chipmunks in the majestic pines along the lake. We are close to many activities such and golf, horseback riding, restaurants and shopping.

Lake was nice and we had a good time. Awkward - having to check things out. Smelled musty but once windows were opened- air improved.
Great Lake Property
Both the property and the owner were amazing. The property had lots of fun activities.
I very much enjoyed having you as guest. Appreciated your complements on the cleanliness as did my house keeper. Hope to see you in the future.
Great Place on Hayden Lake!
We stayed in the Waterfall Suite from July 28 to Aug 4, 2018. Weather was beautiful and was between 86 - 100 degrees our entire week! We are return guests. We stayed here 3 years ago as well. Karla is fantastic to deal with. She always gets back to you right away. This place is perfect for our family of four. Always nice and clean. We usually spend most of our days at Silverwood Amusement Park which is only a 15 minute drive away. So close and convenient. In the evenings when we are back from the park, we like to enjoy the beautiful lake. Karla really has everything to make your stay fun and enjoyable! Water trampoline, whoosh mats, tubes, paddle boat etc. When you're not in the lake there is a games room with lots of board games and a fooseball table. Outside there is a shuffleboard table and horseshoes. Our family spent many hours after dinner on several nights having shuffleboard and horseshoe tournaments. It was so nice to have something to do in the evenings to unwind with the kids. Especially being able to be outside as the evenings were so nice and warm. Our kids are 12 and 14 so sometimes a bit of a challenge to find something to do that they both like. They loved it! We still have not used the fire pit but it is there. Maybe next time we are back.
The kitchen has plenty of dishes. There are some condiments, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. We usually check in first, then take inventory to see what we need to go buy where spices/condiments are concerned. The stove and BBQ work great! My husband BBQ'd the entire week so we only used the stove for breakfasts..
There is no air conditioning but because this suite is below the main home it stays cool. There is a stand up fan as well if you need.
Karla's place is close to alot of other activities as well. We went to a Spokane Indians baseball game (only about 30 min drive). We drove to Schweitzer Mountain where the guys did downhill mountain biking and the girls went for a 2.5 hour horseback ride. There is disc golf & hiking near by. We also did a locked room in Coeur D'Alene.
This place is fantastic and we would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion would be to maybe hang a mirror in each bedroom so that people can continue to get ready/apply makeup after showering as there is only one bathroom. This would speed up the getting ready process in the morning when everyone wants to shower.
Thanks Karla! We really enjoyed ourselves once again!
Great place for families
I never write reviews but there were no reviews on the waterfall suite at Hayden Pines when I was booking so I was nervous.
This is a spacious, clean, place to stay. Very comfortable beds (in fact I need to ask the owner what kind of mattresses those were because they were so nice). This rental is actually underneath the house the owner lives in. She is very quiet and we barely saw her, meaning it was still very private. This house stays very cool...I was cold. Apparently the other rentals are pretty hot in the summer. I believe there are 3 houses to rent. You share the dock, decks by dock, game room, water toys. The other houses were full and we had no issues sharing any of this, in fact we were barely ever saw the other families. It was actually nice to meet them in passing and get some tips on the lake and other things to do in the area.
The furnishings in the house were dated but everything was very clean and very nice. The kitchen is in need of a sharp knife and a new, un-warped frying pan :) Otherwise, it provides everything you need.
The private deck on the house is great and has a beautiful view of Hayden Lake. The staircase leading down to the lake is a workout and would be difficult with small toddlers and/or people with disabilities, however it is well taken care of and leads to two very nice decks and a large, spacious dock.
There is no beach area, so in my opinion it would not be ideal for people with babies or toddlers who just want to play in shallow water with sand. It was perfect for my kids who were 9, 13, & 16. My 9 year old wore a life jacket and had a great time jumping into the lake and swimming to the water trampolines and whoosh mat. We all had a great time in the lake actually!
Very clean, beautiful, lake that was a perfect water temp of 76 degrees (mid July). The air temp was low 90's all week.
Rented a boat from Hayden Marina and got a discount because we were staying with Karla at Hayden Pines. The boat was nice, fun, and they were great to work with also.
The reception for our phones was not great but honestly this really helped us completely un -plug and enjoy our time together. I would stay here again and recommend. Beautiful area!!
The stay was great
We stayed in Karla's home on the bottom floor. We had our own privacy, but she was there of we needed her. The lake was a lot of fun and the scenery was beautiful. There are deer freely roaming around along the drive there and that was neat too. It was a great fit for a family of 5 traveling.
Relaxing and Perfect
My husband and I had a very nice time staying here, we stayed for a week, it was great having a boat slip for our boat. Karla was a great hostess and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The home was clean and perfect for us and our 2 boys. The stairs coming up from the dock wasn't even that bad.
We would stay here again but maybe in the smaller home by the dock area.
