About Dave and Julie Flagtwet
We grew up in Southern California and have been coming to Eureka Montana for Outdoor Recreation since 1987. The Beauty and Peacefulness of the area has called to us since our first visit here. We love Eureka enough to now reside here permanently year round.
Dave and Julie Flagtwet purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Dave and Julie Flagtwet chose Eureka
My son and I spent a summer building this Cedar Cabin together. The site offers such a nice view of the mountains, it is surrounded by trees and you feel transported into the wilderness! Yet we are right off a main road and only minutes from town. The air here is clear and the water is crisp cold and refreshing!
What makes this Cabin unique
The logs in the cabin are reclaimed local Cedar logs untreated and weathered naturally. The entire cabin was built by my son and I. We love the the well water straight from the tap! It is clean, cold and refreshing!!

Sweet cozy cabin
We enjoyed our time in this very clean and sweet cabin. The location is very convenient for Eureka.
We agree, one of the beat things about the Cedar Cabin is the location! We are glad it was convenient for you.
We LOVED this cabin!
Had a great experience, thanks to gracious hosts Julie & Dave. Enjoyed the mountain views & visits from deer & wild turkeys.
Great location! Feels like out in woods but close to town!
As frequent travelers who use home stay sites typically for lodging, as a somewhat rare occasion for us, the Cedar Cabin exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail was obvious. The cabin had all you could ask for if you are seeking comfort, privacy, and fantastic views from the patio. Also the small things like Forest Service maps which were essential for exploring the area. We would definitely recommend this place.
There are so many hidden treasures to see in our area! Happy you used the resources provided to find a few of them!
Nice little cabin close to Eureka!
Clean simple cabin. Loved sitting out in the morning and looking over the valley! Everything you need is in the cabin. However, would be nice to add a microwave for reheating stuff. The stairs are a little steep, but enjoyed the loft area beds. Would definitely enjoy staying here again.
The view over the valley is one of our favorite things about the cabin property! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you return again!
The cabin was exactly as described and very convenient. Will stay here again if we return to the area.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. We try our best to make sure our guests expectations are met! Happy to have you return sometime!
