Adorable waterfront cottage on Puget Sound is perfect for your get away
About PJ Goelzer
We love to buy older properties and renovate them to be modern and functional while showcasing their best classic features. When we aren't renovating, our family loves exploring the amazing Pacific Northwest.

Why PJ Goelzer chose Longbranch
This property combined our love of renovation with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Our family camped in this area previously and fell in love with the beautiful sunsets, the abundant wildlife, and the peace and quiet. When we found this property, we knew it would be perfect! After over a year of renovations, it's now ready to share with you. This property offers something unique for each season. In the spring, we love watching the flowers bloom; the summers offer long days and breathtaking sunsets; the fall brings the harvest from the garden, fruit trees, and grapevines on the property; in the winter the bare trees give an even more expansive water view to watch the storms, and the wood stove in the living room makes for cozy evenings catching up with loved ones.
What makes this Cottage unique
We looked at many properties and found this one to be ideal for the peace and seclusion it offered. There are few homes in this area, which means the wildlife is abundant. We love watching the bald eagles, hummingbirds, seals, and otters from our deck. There are also transient orcas that wander through on occasion. This property offers the best of both the medium bank waterfront views, and the low bank waterfront access!

Peaceful family getaway
My husband and I were looking for a peaceful getaway from our busy lives in Seattle and found it. We did a small hike recommended in the welcome booklet, took the kayaks out, and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows at the beach fire pit. Our toddler loved playing with the vintage toys and swinging in the beach front sky chair. PJ was so easy to communicate with and we hope to come back again!
BEST birthday for both a navy mom & her sailor
This property was everything our family could have hoped for & more! It is private yet close enough for dining & shopping however once we checked in we had a hard time leaving. The views are spectacular! Wildlife was abundant including porpoises & seals. A juvenile seal joined me on the beach sunning himself while I had my morning coffee. The owners have thought of everything you could want or need with games, fishing equipment, beach studded, emergency info & even a folder with "need to know" things about the property & local area. We took advantage of the kayaks, had hot dogs & s'mores at the fire pit & made memories we will treasure forever!!!
Amazing spot with tons of toys
What an amazingly comfortable and perfect spot for our last summer vacation. The house is perfectly comfortable and the movies, 8 track tapes and awesome water toys were the icing on the cake. Came with our three teens who had a great time playing in the water and on the beach. Could not have been better.
Beautiful cottage on a breathtaking perch
Highly recommended cottage with tasteful decor and a breathtaking view of the Puget Sound. The property had everything we -- a family of 5 -- needed to spend a few nights. The amenities required to fully enjoy the setting were all provided--books about the local area; nice binoculars to spot seals and porpoises from the huge windows, two different decks, and private beach; firewood for the beach fire pit; a well-tended vegetable garden; fishing poles and oyster traps; kayaks, SUPs and life jackets for all sizes of people; wood burning stove if needed; and spectacular views of the sunset. We all loved this spot--from adults, to 16 year old, to 5 year old. Super communicative and friendly hosts. Convenient to Tacoma and Sea-Tac, ferries to Seattle. Key Peninsula is super chill. Most relaxing time I've had in years, yet we all spend a lot of time paddling on the water.
*considerations that didn't much both us: spotty cell service; sulfur smell from the hot water tap was strong.
Beautiful cozy cottage!
Great value! Beautiful in all except the entrance road had 2 old rotting RV's someone needs to remove them. Notice there is no coffee maker only a french press. Shower is a bathtub w/ curtain may be a hazard if older. Upstairs king bedroom has no door.
This property was really neat! We spend 4 beautiful days here. Property owner was a pleasure to work with. In lieu of our arrival he contacted us and gave us all details pertaining to accessing the property. He had the place ready for us the night before our booked stay and allowed us to get in as early as we wanted the day of our arrival. PJ also provided us beforehand with valuable info about the surrounding area, local grocery stores and activities.
The house is so charming and was equipped with anything one would need to spend time away from home. The best part was the opportunity we had to grill and spend time outdoors, relaxing, sun bathing, and canoeing. We enjoyed fresh produce straight from the garden - onions and lettuce - as well as bountiful amounts of blackberries from the bushes by the beach. All in all, a gem of a property in a quiet peninsula neighborhood!
The only drawback for us, was its location right at the bottom of the peninsula. It took us about 30 minutes to come up the peninsula and then an additional 1.5 hours to all local areas we wanted to visit (i.e. Mt Rainier, Seattle, Mt. Olympus). The long drives to and from the points of interest we had in mind, ended up being quite tiresome.
If you're looking for a place to stay while exploring the Seattle area, this might night be the best location for that; however, if your goal is to have a quiet beautiful place to spend a few days at, away from the business of regular life, this is most definitely the place!
Property is in remote, secluded area of Key Peninsula. There is a public boat launch nearby and we have space to park your ski boat/jet ski trailer in the driveway on our property.
