I recommend this very clean property well located for most tourist attractions.
I travel a lot and do not normally write reviews, even though I rely on reviews in choosing accommodation, but I thought this properly merits a review because we underestimated the gem it is. On arrival, we discovered a very clean, spacious and attractive property, well located for visiting most tourist attractions by public transport. You can get to most places on the bus for 2 Euros (and also to the airport on bus X3), and there are bus stops very close to the property. The property is also a two minutes walk to Buggiba Square with restaurants and the beach . Alexandra’s mum (Mary) who helps to manage the property was very helpful and quick to respond to any need. We had electricity issue and she responded swiftly. She was happy for us to check out later than usual because we had a late flight out. Thank you Mary for helping to make our stay in Malta’s pleasant one
Perfect apartment in Malta
On arrival I was delighted with this choice of apartment - perfect location. Bus stop RIGHT AT THE DOOR, car hire and taxi place next door, shop two doors over, 4 mins walk to the restaurants and square and sea. Good aircon in every room. Plenty of space - there were 2 adults and 3 kids in our group. lovely furnished, bath and shower, two toilets which was great. I loved that Alexandra had left coffee, tea, milk, bread, ham, cheese, eggs for us - what a host.
I tortured her with questions and she was patient and very helpful. Book it, we loved it. Thank you Alexandra. xx
Very comfortable and well-equipped apartment. Convenient for bus stops and car hire. Good restaurants nearby.
Nice apartment but few unfortunate issues
Really nice property with good space but ran into a few issues. Main issue is the ELECTRICITY METER which isnt made clear in the listing. The landlord provides you with 100 credits but if you run out which is very easy if you leave the AC's on for more than a few hours over night (as it can get very hot at night!) then the landlord expects you to pay extra for this. After a heated discussion with the landlord she eventually topped it up for us for free as our electricity ran out after 3 days (of a 6 day stay) despite us being accused of leaving the ACs on all day even though we switched everything off throughout the day as we were never in the apartment! Having to worry about additional expenditures like this is ridiculous when you're already paying so much up front, an Airbnb or hotel never expect you to pay for bills and if the landlord wishes to continue with this then she should clearly advertise this in the listing before you book not afterwards. I would strongly advise the landlord to reconsider this strategy and she would be wise to add the 20 euro surcharge into the cost of the rental upfront instead so people can live comfortably without worry of bills, even if the electricity is supposedly more expensive in Malta. There was also a broken bed in one of the rooms which needed propping up. Despite these issues in all fairness the apartment was very nice which is why it gets a 3/5 but be warned about the electricity especially if staying more than a couple of nights!
Thanks for your lovely review, I would really like to explain myself that you have a few mistakes. 100 units credit is alot of credit. Hardly any clients have used all the units as we give plenty of units to have a comfortable stay , and usually most clients leave lots of credit in the meter and it is more then enough , and if clients need a few more units we always give then some more like i did to you !!!! But we do to want any abuse as electricity is very expensive in Malta and to leave three air-conditions on all day and night would be a waste , so that is the only reasons for the meters, We have meters in all our apartments and we never have any issues as we give enough credit for a very comfortable stay . Infect after i gave you more credit you didn't have any problems and it was more then enough for the night time , All you have to do is switch the off before you go out. It is also written in the discerption and also in the booking agreement that i send my clients so you where advised upfront, To buy extra units it is not very expensive so i do not think that i should add to the cost of the apartment , as it is usually enough,
If you had to go to a hotel in August i can assure you that the price will be much more than you paid for .
Regarding the broken bed if you had called me i would have sent my handyman to get it fixed straight away,
I didn't remember arguing and when you asked me for the extra credit i immediately told you to please be careful and give you more free credit ,
I am so happy that you enjoyed you holiday in Malta and please read the agreement forms carefully before you book the next apartment ,
Would highly recommend
Apartment was nice and clean when we arrived, would highly recommend staying, prefect location to get to the restaurants, and very friendly helpful owners
It was a great pleasure to have you stay and very welcome to be back if you are in Malta. So glad that you like the apartment and found it so central to everything,
Lovely central property.
Flat was comfortable, clean, right by bus stop. Alexandra and her family really helpful.
Bugibba is a tourist area , and this apartment is situated in a very central area only a few minutes walk and you are in the main square and promenade , where one can enjoy a walk along the promenade from St Pauls Bay to Qawra point, Cafe del mare is also a walk away and the aquarium. The bus stop in just in-front of their apartment block , so a car is really not necessary. If you decide to hire a car then next door is a car hire company and if you hire the car from Him he will also provide you with a parking space. I can provide you with all his details and find your car at the airport.
Many clients enjoy there stay at this lovely apartment for its comforts and location,
