A great property but tired and needs love.
We arrived and unfortunately it had rained. Every single outside chair was soaking wet for most of the duration of our stay. A property like this would normally have a caretaker to look after problems like this. The grass was long and had definitely not been cut for a while. All of the outside chairs were tired and needed restoration. The towels in the house smelt of damp and were thin, old towels. Pool towels even thinner. The inside of the house was probably better. But we had a leak in our bathroom which dripped constantly and soaked the floor. The two bedrooms in the adjoining house stank of damp. So much so that our guests had to find alternative accommodation. The main house was dark and also had a damp feel. The reason I am being so negative is this is an expensive house and it is not up to the standard the owners are charging. It either needs a complete overhaul or charge less money. Also there should be a caretaker to take chairs in and out when necessary. The location is quiet and very pretty surroundings but the pool in September doesn't get the sun until midday and therefore the chairs never dried out. Did we enjoy our stay I am just not sure. I certainly would not rebook. Maybe in the hot summer it would have been better but in September the signs of tiredness just showed.
