About Patrick and Diane
We're a couple of old mountain bikers with a love for the NC Mountains and little old cabins and cottages. We purchased the Lynnwood Cabin in 2016 and have dedicated the last two years to its renovations and repairs. Please visit the mountains and stay with us!
Patrick and Diane purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Patrick and Diane chose Hendersonville
The vertical log construction of this cabin is a rare sight in our area. It has been lovingly restored and modernized with a brand new kitchen and bathroom, but retains the magic of old log walls, stone fireplace and loft bedroom. Relax and cook in the breezeway. Sit around a roaring outdoor fire, then soak in the hot tub. An organic edible garden is under development with the additions of fruit and vegetable plantings.
What makes this Cabin unique
Lynnwood Cabin is only a 30 minute drive to downtown Asheville with attractions way too numerous to list. WORLD CLASS dining combined with all the natural wonders Western North Carolina has to offer. Come for the food and breweries, tour the local cideries and wineries, bike and hike the mountains, climb rock faces, zip line through the canopies, enjoy white water rafting and kayaking, and wet a hook. We have it ALL! Tailgate markets abound. Don't forget the NC Apples. Apple festival is Labor Day weekend.

A Cabin in Town
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautifully renovated, very charming, and close to everything. We didn’t realize it was in town, across from a neighborhood, but that turned out to be very convenient and didn’t hamper the charming qualities of the cabin. We truly loved it. It was close to the DuPont Forest Park, where we hiked the triple falls trail, and to sliding rock. Sleeping in the loft was great fun for our daughter, and we enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub and outdoor space. Over all, it was a wonderful vacation.
It is all in the details
My fiance and I stayed here over Christmas and New Years. We actually got engaged on Christmas day in this cabin. Patrick and Dianne were just wonderful from beginning to end. We reviewed many cabins before deciding on this one.We think it is a great value. Everything is brand new in this old cabin restored. The bathroom was such a treat with its lovely tub and separate shower and heated floors! The kitchen and its awesome gas stove and all the appliances one needs to make great meals was greatly appreciated and enjoyed! The hot tub just outside was a real treat. The location was excellent being so close to everything and access to highways to go anywhere you want! The place is very well maintained and we could feel how much care was put into this lovely home away from home. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable and our hosts made it even more so, thank you! We recommend you stay.
A little slice of heaven on the outskirts of Hendersonville/Asheville/ Chimney Rock
This place was the perfect location for our getaway with easy drives to the Biltmore Estate, Asheville Breweries, Hendersonville Wineries, and the stunning Chimney Rock/ Lake Lure areas. You won't find a better deal or a better property manager than Diane!
Thank you so much for choosing Lynnwood Cabin for your getaway. We feel like we’re in heaven to. We welcome you back anytime, Spring and summer in the mountains are awesome!!

Clean, cozy, cute!
Very neat cabin with rustic feel and modern updates. Poor location if desiring peace and quite.
Staying in this cabin is a unique experience. It has the rustic feel you would expect from a cabin over 100 years old, but that rustic feeling was a positive characteristic. Even though the cabin is old, it has been modernized with some of the latest tech features that made it easy to hang out in the cabin and enjoy relaxing and stay comfortable and entertained. The only negative thing about this cabin is that it sits very close to a highway that has a pretty large amount of traffic throughout the day. While sitting in the living room area or the breezeway behind the cabin the sounds of cars was pretty much constant. Overall this is a neat place to stay that is convenient to restaurants and shops in Hendersonville, but the location of it in relation to the highway is the reason I can only rate it as 3 stars.
Cozy Cabin Close to Downtown !
Great location and adorable cabin. There is not a single negative thing I could say about this cabin! It was wonderful! As soon as we arrived, we noticed that it felt so clean and well kept! The linens, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. were all in excellent condition, and it truly felt like home. The owners, Diane & Patrick were so easy to work with. They communicated quickly with us through the reservation process and made sure the cabin was ready upon our arrival. They really go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel special , including our baby Molly (yellow lab). We would love to rent from them again in the future and would recommend their cabin to anyone.
Thanks Linda, Sam and Molly. We had a great time hosting y’all including Sister Scotty and sitting out at the fire. Y’all are welcome back anytime. We look forward to meeting those grands! Thank you for taking care of our cabin.
