Cangas (or Cangas do Morrazo) is located in the south western end of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, on the coast of the province of Pontevedra, belonging to the region of O Morrazo. Cangas del Morrazo is located at a distance of 158 kilometers to the city of A Coruña, 86 kilometers to Santiago de Compostela and 30 kilometers to the city of Pontevedra. The foundation of this town as an entity can be placed at the dawn of the eleventh century, during the middle ages.
