Kittocks Den is a beautiful, traditional farm cottage, one of a row of four, nestled between Cottage and Muir. Just 2 miles from St Andrews it is a fantastic home away from home perfect for families, couples and pets. There is a secure, private garden with a small field with children’s play area beyond. With St Andrews only a short 5 minute drive away, Kittocks Den is the perfect location to enjoy the historic university town of St Andrews, famous golf courses, beaches and everything else it has to offer. The Fairmont Hotel is a 10 minute walk away where you can enjoy fantastic food, drink and golf, swimming and spa facilities.

Kittocks Den is set across one level and is comprised of:

Room for improvement

I rented this cottage to attend a wedding at Kinkell Byre, it was a great location for this however the accommodation was adequate but could be improved as it is a bit dated especially the kitchen. Sitting room a bit small for 6 people. We experienced a hot sunny spell of weather it would have been good to have had an umbrella to provide some shade to enable sitting out in the garden at the table to eat more comfortable. I rent a lot of holiday houses and the essentials have always been provided such as washing up liquid some washing powder and spare toilet rolls, these items were lacking. Wi-Fi was very poor. To be so near a university town I don’t understand why it was so bad and the tv pixelated. On a positive it is very close to the town centre just a five minute drive. Spacious secure garden with some outdoor play items for children

Staycation

The cottage had a great location and large back garden great for a dog or if you had young children. The cottage is directly opposite The Fairmont boasting 2 golf courses( not the easiest according to my husband & sons) The cottage itself was roamy enough but required some modernisation mainly the kitchen and windows. This being said we all had a nice enjoyable week.

Great little cottage

Great Cottage, clean plenty space for family of 5. Just outside St. Andrews but close enough to be able to access the town easily. Great play space for children in Garden and in shared play area behind.
