Bear Cabin
This a real deal dogtrot cabin, meaning that there is a breezeway between two cabins that connect through locked doors on the second floor. The front porch of the cabin is great with rocking chairs and tables. The cabin is set high on a hill with a great view at the end of a dead end road in an area with large acreage high end homes. It is 3 miles away from the downtown and very convenient to that area. The bedroom and bathroom is upstairs. The kitchen has a sink, microwave, and small refrigerator.

George Washington’s Cabin (not in a good way)
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with this stay. Place was dirty and dingy, and felt like walking into a historical monument that you’d want to leave after 5 mins. Microwave didn’t work, TV didn’t work, bathtub jets spewed out dirt (after multiple tries). Mini fridge froze all of our food. Main property was about 200 feet away, a lot less private than expected. We ended up checking out early because we were very uncomfortable. We ended up getting a 10% refund, and refund for the last night when we didn’t stay, but our “romantic Thanksgiving getaway” was very disappointing and we should have been refunded for the entire stay. This is the first time I have left a negative review, but future guests should be aware. Hopefully there is more maintenance in the future.

Avoid this place at all costs. Too many other options close to Fredericksburg. Horrible experience.
Booked a weekend at this cabin and ended up only staying 1 night because the bath tub was dirty, leaving us no place to bathe (there is no shower). The bath tub filled up with dirt and leaves shortly after turning it on. Sent pictures and detailed information Friday evening and only got a reply that the local manager would look into it. We woke up first thing Saturday morning and reached out to Vacasa and the property owner again with no response. We decided to check out and leave because we didn't want to bathe in the dirty tub. I spent a lot of money to stay at this place for the weekend and they offered a laughable refund because the local manager didn't find any problem with the tub. Avoid any Vacasa property if possible. Horrible experience.

Nice Private Get Away
This was a really nice cottage backed up into the hill country. What an amazing location! It would have been nice to have a kitchen to cook a meal while staying but the cabin is minutes away from restaurants in Fredericksburg that are dog friendly so we had no problems finding places to eat during our multi-day stay.
