Lovely little gite, well equipped and comfortable. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts.
A lovely peaceful place to escape.
Brissac Quince is 30 mins walk away with a superb chateau, good bakeries and a big supermarket (although this is another 15 mins walk). Walk in the other direction for 25 mins through the vineyards and you come to Saint-Melaine-sur-Aubance with the Petit Manoir restaurant, definitely worth the walk. Angers and Saumur on the Loire are not far away and both worth visiting, take the river road via Gennes to Saumur, a lovely drive!
Dear Robert you would make a great tour guide. Thanks' for the review.
Great little cottage with everything you need. The outside space was a real treat and it was in a lovely peaceful location.
Serendipity, a happy accident
We were plesently surprised by the gite ,the area ,and the welcome from the local people ,our host phillipe was a true ambassador for the French people and gite owners . He was attentive, and discreet, the house was fully equipped, and nothing was to much trouble. The gardens were a true joy to sit in at the end of the day ,to discus the days events and plan the next adventure. The area has many beautiful Châteaus to visit ,along with views to gladden the heart ,and not forgetting the wines and the caves ,added to all of this are some truly outstanding little restaurants to visit and sample the local foods ,prepared and presented as the French do best . We both recommend, the area and this gite ,and in future holidays in this area would have no hesitation in returning.
Dear Fiona and Stephen,
Warm thanks' to took time to write both a mail and a review on Homeaway ( one off the most eulogistic we've had!).
Your satisfaction is our reward and we are very pleased to read that you have enjoyed your stay. Of course you, or your friends, would be warmly welcomed if you ever intend to stay again.
We wish that " the jungle workplace "will not ruin the benefit of your stay too quickly.
With best regards,
Marie-Agnès and Philippe
Great house for a family of 6 exploring the Loire
We would like to thank Monsieur Lambert and his family for a very comfortable week in the Loire. The house was well equipped and set in a wonderful garden. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the 'Loire-a-velo' cycle paths within close proximity to Brissac.
A wonderful place to stay, ideal for families!
My husband and I, along with our three children (ages 6, 4 and 2) stayed for five months in early 2014 at the beautiful Maison des Vendangeurs.
We feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to watch winter turn into spring in this beautiful region of France. Marie-Agnes and Philippe are wonderful hosts. They are hospitable and generous and ensured that every aspect of our stay was enjoyable.
The house is tastefully and comfortably furnished. During the cold months of winter we were grateful for the warmth of the wood burning stove which kept the house cosy and dry. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils, cutlery and dinnerware one needs. The open plan living area was ideal for our family and our two elder children loved sleeping on the mezzanine which overlooks the living space. The expansive gardens are beautiful, full of mature trees and flowering perennials such as Irises and Roses. The children spent many hours playing ‘hide and seek’, kicking soccer balls and feeding Monsieur et Madame Mouton and it made for a relaxing stay knowing that they could play safely and independently in the garden.
The little hamlet of Clabeau is situated a short walk from the small village of Brissac-Qunicé. There are many interesting places to visit in the Loire Valley and the city of Angers is a short car/bus trip from Clabeau. Angers is a clean and well-resourced city with plenty of charm.
We would highly recommend La Maison des Vendangeurs as an ideal place to stay for anyone, especially families, wishing to explore the beauty of the Loire Valley.
We will be forever grateful to Marie-Agnes and Philippe, not only for their help and assistance, but also for their warmth and good humour. We hope to visit again one day in the future!

Lovely house in in Anjou
The property was set in the lovely Anjou region, ideally situated for travelling around and visiting vineyards an chateaux of the area.
The house was very comfortable, light And bright with a very lovely garden and terrace on which to enjoy a glass of wine or two.
Phillipe is a very kind and generous host for whom nothing was too much trouble making us feel most welcome.
I would most certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives and when in the area again would definitely look to book this property.
Our holiday was most enjoyable at La Maison Des Vendangeurs so if you are looking for somewhere in the region this is a perfect retreat.
Dear Rosemary and Roy,
warm thank's for this "laudatory" review, it's rewarding to know thas our guests were pleased of their stay. I would not say "adieu" but may be "à bientôt !"
Our property is 15 km from Angers and 2. 5 km from Brissac and shops (supermarket Leclerc, 3 bakeries, 4 restaurants). Its location is ideal for walks and hikes, on foot: the vineyard is on our doorstep and the GR 3 to 5kms, cycling: the circuits of the Loire by bike passes within 1 km, riding: we are at the node 2 equestrian loops. Golf d'Angers is 5 km, canoeing on the nearby Loire and flights Balloon. At the heart of the vineyard Angevin you can taste the superb white Anjou: Savenières, hillside Aubance and Layon, and red: Anjou Village Brissac. Within a radius of 40 km you will discover the castles of Brissac, Saumur, Montsoreau Brézé, Montreuil Bellay, Serrant, Angers, Plessis Mace, Plessis Bourré, Baugé, Montgeffroy, the Abbey of Fontevrault and many museums. A mention also Terra Botanica, the Zoo de Doue la Fontaine, troglodyte villages and the inevitable Guinguette at Jojo.
Golf: The Golf d'Angers is in the heart of an area of 50 hectares in St Jean des Mauvrets.
You'll love this magnificent site between the Loire and vineyards, 15 minutes from the center of Angers.
The 18-hole course awaits you in a haven of peace in a park dotted with ancient trees of various species. At no time does the monotony settles through technical diversity: wood, water features, round and dolmens are waiting for you.
On 5406m, the Golf d'Angers, 18 hole par 70, offers driving range, rental clubs, trolleys and carts.
You will also find relaxation and conviviality at the Club House located in the mill.
Soon on the greens of the Golf d'Angers.
