The Casa di Romano is a farmhouse with dovecote, of typical architecture of the area. It was built around 1400, all in lime and round stones, smoothed by the sea, in remote times, which are abundant in the surrounding fields.
Il Tramonto is an apartment on the ground floor of the main house, with access from the left side, looking at the farmhouse. It consists of a living area, with kitchen / dining room, and a relaxation area with sofa bed, which can be separated from the rest of the room with a curtain, to ensure greater privacy. And a sleeping area with bedroom and bathroom. Externally it is equipped with table, chairs and deck chairs.
Guests have access to the beautiful farmyard and the farmhouse porch, equipped with a brick barbecue, and to the adjacent outdoor swimming pool, elevated, with a diameter of 8.5 m and a water depth of 1.20 m.
Under the porch there is also the characteristic wood-burning oven, of considerable size, which the peasants used to cook bread for the whole week, also made with a stone vault.
It is still fully functional today, and the roasts cooked inside it have a different flavor from traditional cooking.
For guests who wish, we can prepare dinners by reservation.
The hill on which the house stands is called "Il sodo", this because the land on which it was erected is made up of fragmented stones and compressed in such a way as to make it very hard, to the point that the house did not need to foundation for its realization.
Inside the house there is a cellar, dug in the "hard", which descends downwards and emerges from the hill under the apartment. There you can admire the particularity of the conformation of the land.
The house has a total of 12/13 beds, divided into three independent apartments, two located in the main body and one outside, obtained from the old shelter for the tractor.
It is therefore also perfect for groups of friends, who decide to spend their holidays together, while maintaining their privacy.
