About Lorna Moffat
I live in Edinburgh with my young family and manage several holiday lets for owners. Edinburgh is a fantastic city at any time of year and I enjoy welcoming guests to stay.
Why Lorna Moffat chose West End
This property is in a fantastic location in the stylish West End of Edinburgh. There are wonderful independent shops including cafes, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It is incredibly central and just minutes' walk to Edinburgh's main shopping streets, Princes Street and George Street, and a further 15 minutes walk to the Royal Mile and Castle. The house itself is just stunning - newly refurbished and decorated. It is a fine example of Edinburgh's Georgian architecture and guests will be delighted with the rooms.

This property was as advertised. A great location in Edinburgh that was in the heart of the city. It was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. We were all impressed.
Nice house, comfortable, well located, everything you need is available
Lots of noise from neighbors below up to 6 am, dirty oven plate.
Best place ever
We have stayed in many places in the UK & Europe over many years and simply put, this is by far the best property we have stayed in. The Georgian architecture and high quality furnishings make this a premium experience. A lot of space and facilities for our large family, it was great to be together or be in your own space. The comfiest of beds and heating that soon warmed up such a big house when we needed it, hot water aplenty and a very well equipped kitchen. The entrance hall is spacious and laid out for hanging many coats and taking off your boots, perfect for when you come in from the rain (which occasionally Edinburgh gets!). Magda who welcomed us was lovely and really helpful and communication with Lorna was prompt and helpful. The location is more towards the Castle/Edinburgh Gin/Haymarket side of town but all of Edinburgh was walkable from here such is the nature of this compact city. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and the main shopping area a few minutes away. A local co-op and local Sainsbury’s one minute walk away. A car is not necessary unless you want to explore beyond the city. All in all this was fabulous accommodation to explore such a beautiful historic city. The experience of being in such a historical residence in the new town area, was a joy in itself. Thank you Lorna for such a great experience.
Michael, thank you so much for such a wonderful review of our Edinburgh townhouse! We're delighted that you and your family enjoyed your visit, and we do hope that you have the opportunity to return.
Stafford Street is in the stylish West End of Edinburgh. Both Stafford Street and the popular neighbouring William Street provide wonderful independent shops including cafes, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It is incredibly central and just minutes' walk to Edinburgh's main shopping streets, Princes Street and George Street, and a further 15 minutes walk to the Royal Mile and Castle. The tram stop is around the corner, along with main bus routes, which makes this an ideal location for those wishing to walk or travel around the city.
