Great house
We stayed in the house for four nights with our two children and it was lovely, the house was very clean and tidy and we appreciated the essentials Gareth and Trish had left for us on arrival, including bread, cereal, milk, tea and coffee it was such a lovely touch. Gareth and Trish were lovely hosts so helpful in letting us know different places to explore in the area and nothing we asked was too much trouble. Thank you once again you helped made our holiday and our little girl didn’t want to come home!!

Great place to stay
Exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable and in a quiet spot with good views. Thoughtful hosts who provided all the basics and advice on days out - plus allowed access to their garden. Good base for exploring the area. Would stay again.

Great getaway!
Our family of 4 including two teens spent 4 days here. The flat is perfect, sparkling clean and well equipped. Hosts Gareth and Trisha were so friendly and helpful. It’s a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. We did National Trust walk from Stackpole Quay, walk around Angle, boat trip from Tenby and trip to the amazing Marloes Sands. Lots to do in this area!

Definitely would stay again
We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 children. The location was wonderfully quiet yet commuting out for day trips was easy. Gareth and Trish couldn't have been more hospitable and happily provided suggestions for day trips and places to eat. We had a wonderful time and cant wait to return. Thank you Jenni and Mark

About the host

Host profile image
Having worked as a Sales Manager for over 30 years, my wife and I achieved our ambition of building our own house 2010. We had always planned to retire to Pembroke from Cardiff and make the most of the spectacular, but unspoilt beauty of Pembrokeshire.
Our interests are walking, fishing, boats, rugby but most of all foreign travel. Having travelled fairly extensively, we find the peace and tranquility of where we live a key attraction.

Why they chose this property

The accomodation is on the ground floor of our home with it's own private access.
Views from the front on the house are over the tidal Haven Waterway and you can be beachcoming yards from the front door.
There is a tidal slipway for dingy, canoe launching. At certain times of the year the foreshore is a haven for hundreds of sea birds.
We have some of the best beaches in the UK all within 30 mins. drive of the house.
It is in a quiet but not remote location, however a car is required.
We are centrally placed for visiting all key areas of Pembroke.
The ferry to Ireland sails twice a day and is 5mins from the property.

What makes this property unique

Peaceful gardens at the rear of the property are accessed by steps (not suitable for elderly or very young children). There is a picnic table with views of the Haven Waterway and the owners BBQ is available subject to weather.
The Haven is unique. Be it is watching the ferry arrive/depart, beachcoming, or taking to to the water in your own craft.
Surrounded by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footbath and stunning scenery places such as Freshwater East, Barafundle, Dale, Newgale etc are never to far away.
