A bunk bed for an adult, not really suitable. Dark conservatory not enough light when dark outside.
Property generally lovely. Bunk beds for adults! Not really. Conservatory lovely in day but not enough light in the evening to sit and have dinner. No manuals for appliances, washing machine. Kitchen equipment needs renewing, frying pans fit for the bin and crockery chipped. I think when you are charging high end these things should be in excellent condition.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this lovely cottage. Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all we needed. In a great peaceful location but not far away from all the places we wanted to visit. We will be back :-)
The cottage is lovely, however we were disappointed that the road along Side it was not private..
A really nice cottage in a lovely area,
However the road along Side it was not private and at certain times it was very busy, not ideal with small children playing outside.. also we had my daughter's play tent stolen from the patio area on our 1st full day at the cottage.. had we known that the road was not private we wouldn't have left it out, but to be honest we wouldn't have booked this cottage had we known that, I reported it to the pub but that was the last we heard of it..
The cottage it's self is really nice but in need of a little tlc.. the waste pipe from the toilet was leaking outside and the smell at times made it impossible to sit out on the back patio area..
Overall it's a good base for getting out to see the sights but not suitable for families with young children in my view.
Lovely property and location and a pub a few minutes walk away. Would definitely return.
Great kitchen and sun room.
A great place to stay!
Had a brilliant stay at Huckleberry cottage. We stayed with our 15 month old little girl and was ideal as room for her to play inside and out. We had everything we needed for our short stay to visit friends in the area. The Black Horse pub was a great place for a meal when we arrived and a quick drink before bedtime. Location and views excellent. Our little girl loved watching the horses as she ate her breakfast. Thank you
This was our fourth stay at the cottage and we were delighted to see that there were so many improvements such as the track leading to the property and up to the Black Horse being tarmaced. Several changes in the cottage itself were also much appreciated.
