Located in the delightful Bavarian town of Pfronten just minutes from Füssen and Schloss Neuschwanstein, the apartment has a large balcony offering a view over the town to the landmark St. Nikolaus church and mountains beyond. Hiking/biking trails are right outside the door; alpine skiing, mountain biking and parasailing are minutes away. A short walk will take you to traditional restaurants, beer gardens, charming shops, cafés and great bakeries.

Room/apartment were in good shape. Great location!

Our stay here was great! Wonderful spot, beautiful views, could walk into town for any and all meals or supplies for cooking your own meals. The hosts provided us with a pack n play, bedding and a high chair for our 1.5 year old. So helpful when traveling with little ones! Very helpful and responsive during our stay and after when homeaway didn’t automatically refund our security deposit. Definitely recommend!

Founding Director of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) based at Georgetown University in Washington, DC; former owner of the award-winning Hillbrook Inn, a country house hotel in Charles Town, WV; Vice-President of BMW Excluservice, my husband's business in Rockville, MD.

Mother of two, grandmother of four. Married to a German (Lothar Schuettler) but don't speak German! Happiest when planning our next trip and doing photography.

Split our time between our homes in Gaithersburg, MD and Pfronten, Germany.

What makes this property unique

The view from the balcony over the town to the St. Nikolaus Church and the Bavarian Alps, the walking/biking paths everywhere, and the crisp mountain air are hard to beat. Not too many tourist (mostly Germans) but close to major tourist attractions. Can walk to everything you need.
