Hidden gem in S. Kensington
Great location!!!! 2 minutes to the underground station. Despite having luggage and kids in tow, it was a breeze to get to the apartment. Excellent restaurants and museums within a 5 minute walk. A farmers market every Saturday morning right outside your doorstep was a pleasant surprise. Carpets could use a refreshing, but was somewhat expected.
Overall would rent this property again!!!
Bute street experience
Pleasant experience Apart from the first day when England experienced a heat wave. There’s no air conditioning in the premises. Apart from that, rooms were comfortable albeit the neighborhood was very bustling with great restaurants. Very near to the south Kensington station
Perfectly location and size for small family
My husband and I along with our two teen boys really enjoyed this lovely apartment. I wanted a safe neighborhood close to train stations so we can travel about easily. The best part was the Saturday Farmer's Market where we were able to buy some amazing pastries and produce to enjoy in our apartment. After a long day of sightseeing, we were able to dine/carry out at many of the restaurants on our block. Super convenience!
I did not find the street too noisy living above/near retail stores and restaurants. The only thing was getting use to using the washer/dryer unit as it took nearly 3 hours for a fully cycle and running the dryer again to get our clothes dry. The clothes then came out super wrinkly for some reason. It's probably just something we are not use to as we have full size units at home.
We would definitely recommend this unit to other families as having two bedrooms and 1 and half bathroom was really nice compared to a hotel!
Great location, close to Underground and great restaurants
My family of five stayed in this property for 3 nights and the proximity to great dining and the tube were perfect. The place is nice, though the carpet needs a good cleaning. The listing suggested a roll-away type bed which didn't exist when we arrived which meant one kid was couch surfing while there. Make sure you know who you're contacts are for the property as the representative who checked us in told us one thing about check-in and the owner texted very late in the process saying something else. Overcommunicate with whomever you're booking with to make certain you know what's allowed/expected.
Great location in a well-design and well-lit place. Bathrooms are very tiny, and the one shower is very poorly designed.
Kensington is home to the world-famous Kensington Gardens, Palance and Kensignton High Street. There is an abundance of mouth-watering restaurants, amazing pubs and bars and local coffee shops. It is also home to London's best selection of museums including the Natural History Museum, Science Musem and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
South Kensington tube station is on the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines with easily accessible travels across the city. Heathrow Airport is accessible in around 40 minutes via a tube with the London Eurostar terminus at St Pancras station approximately 15 minutes away.
