Welcome to Barrier Island Station in Duck, NC. This oceanfront resort features oceanfront pool, indoor pool, 3 tennis courts, shuffle board, fitness center, and is walking distance to many great restaurants and shops in the town of Duck. This 1200 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit is fully equipped with everything for a great vacation including a washer/dryer. Master has king bed, second bedroom, 2 twins with sleeper sofa in living room. Upon arrival the exterior of the buildings looked very nice. That changed when we reached the door.

We were not impressed. The keys kept on getting stuck in the door locks and didn't work. Part of the door on the lower floor was broken. One spring in the master bed was sticking out. At one point every faucet in the place was leaking. We did find that the mattress on the sofa bed was brand new, and the place was cleaned. It was really worn down inside. We liked the outdoor pool area, its proximity to the ocean, and the snack bar. It was also very easy to ride bikes or jump in the car to head into Duck.
