Just Ok but could have been better

We had 10 days here at El Hayuco, location is amazing, weather was appalling for 7 out of the 10 days, Villa is tired and in need of sprucing up. The air con which we paid extra for one room barely worked, and we didn’t bother with it after the first two days. The remote was damaged and batteries kept falling out. There were also constant bad smells in the bathroom. We got the impression it was just there to make money, and wasn’t a really lived in or homely villa. Also the Wi-fi was barely worth using, in fact we switched to using 4g on our devices it was such a poor reception. During our stay there were constant storms and gales which were quite scary at times, exposed on the mountain side, we were constantly fishing furniture out of the pool, and from around the garden, at no time did we receive a visit or phone call to see if we and/or the villa were ok, which was disappointing. Would we stay here again? Probably not but the location is to die for.
