Nestled in the Broads National Park, in the village of Hickling, within walking distance of Hickling Broad. Heathcote is a stunning semi-detached cottage lovingly renovated with a cosy living room, spacious kitchen/dining room and two bedrooms, accessed via separate staircases, one of which is a traditional winding Norfolk staircase. The property boasts a private hot tub where you can unwind in the evening, after a fun-filled day exploring the area. Up to three furry friends are welcome, and doggy welcome packs are provided for them, as well as dog beds and dog towels. A 5-minute walk brings you to Hickling Broad, the largest of the Norfolk Broads, known as a haven for wild birds and wildlife. Just 3 miles drive are the glorious sandy beaches of Sea Palling and Waxham. Wroxham (11 miles), known as capital of the Norfolk Broads, with its waterside cafés, restaurants, shops, and daily river trips available. Also having main line train station and home to the Bure Valley Steam Railway. From here you can enjoy a wonderful trip through beautiful countryside onto market town of Aylsham with stops at the riverside villages of Buxton and Coltishall. Daily boat hire is available at nearby Hickling Broad and Potter Heigham. Quiet country lanes and trails are great for relaxed cycling and walking. Nearby attractions include many National Trust properties including Blickling and Felbrigg Hall and Horsey Windpump. Visit the seaside resort of Cromer (21 miles) with a promenade and pier, and Sheringham (26 miles), home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway. The city of Norwich (21 miles), with its cathedral, castle, museums, galleries, restaurants, cinema, theatre, and shopping with two malls and market square. Horsey Gap (National Trust) where you can walk on the sand dunes and see the seals and pups on the beach (November to February). Beach 3 miles. A pub in village serves great food. Winbirri Vinyard is 35 minutes’ drive, or for local brewing Woodfords and The Redwell Brewing and Tap room. There are lots of fantastic restaurants and gastro pubs nearby and many dog-friendly.
