Our stay at Cotton Farm Barn
Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were all clean, comfortable and well appointed. The only downside was the amount of steps inside the property. My 59 year old sister took a nasty tumble on one of these upstairs, bad enough for it to effect our holiday. The constant having to open and shut the gate when heading out of the courtyard was a bit of a pain too, but apart from these two issues a stay at the barn is a pleasant experience. Just not suitable with people with hip down disabilities.

Disappointing, property dirty and untidy.
The property was difficult to find and directions unclear. We arrived at night and went up and down the lane several times before knocking on a neighbouring property for directions. The property is very untidy on the approach. Ie the forecourt needs renovation, having potholes/ weeds/moss etc. paintwork of barn needed attention particularly on patio area patio doors. Outside a storage barn had fallen down and was not sectioned off until one day before we left. This was dangerous for kids and dogs and looked an eyesore from the main view point of the barn. Also car parking was a patch of muddy grass as guests were asked not to park on the forecourt. This made it impossible to keep feet clean before getting in the cars. Although the barn was spacious as per the description. Cleanliness was extremely poor and I have taken pictures to demonstrate this. Showers had black mildew in the corners and around the rim on the shower tray in the master bedroom which did come off. Thick cobwebs/spiders in bedrooms. Stone floors dusty and gritty. Windows dirty inside and out, with a dirty net curtain hung on the living room window. There was a definite Musty smell in the utility and downstairs shower room. We stayed in a similar price property in Beer last year, which was immaculate and good value for money. Unfortunately, We do not feel this property was value for money, and we would request consideration of reimbursement of some description. I do have a number of photos that I could send to you to demonstrate the points I have made. I would not recommend this property to anyone else.
