Beautiful romantic Spa Cottage right in the heart of the village.
About Ellie Atkins
My husband and I are locals to Stanley, and own and operate our own accommodation, situated right in the heart of the beautiful village of Stanley. We are also farmers, owning and operating a Murray Grey beef cattle stud here in the lush seaside village.
Ellie Atkins purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Ellie Atkins chose Stanley
Our accommodation property at 8 Church Street is right in the very heart of the village, however is privately situated with its own private off street car park right beside the accommodation. We have both the Spa Cottage and the Studio Apartment, co-joined, but sound proofed and fire walled, with their own very separate entrances, ensuring privacy for our guests.
What makes this Cottage unique
Both the Spa Cottage and Studio Apartment are only 20m - 500m from all the lovely cafes, breakfast bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket and the pristine beaches. This is one of the oldest buildings in Stanley and is heritage listed, however has been fully renovated, but retains its own unique charm.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This is a little piece of heaven right down to the attention to details It’s a must do location.
On arrival the cottage was beautifully heated & the aroma of fresh flowers & lavender was so beautiful. The personal touches with fresh bread, milk & Juice the list really is endless of what Ellie has provided. This is definitely a lovers delight & we feel so relaxed & refreshed after our amazing stay.

Lovely little touches
Lovely little touches made the difference - Sheridan sheets, welcoming bowl of chocolates, generous breakfast provisions. We enjoyed staying on the Main Street and being in walking distance to cafes and shops.
Awesome stay at Ellie's Cottage
Very tranquil, relaxing setting in Stanley the cottage is right in the heart of Stanley walking distance to everything, the cottage has everything provided and attention to details was excellent, we truly felt at home and could wind down at rest in between adventuring out around Stanley

Ellie’s spa cottage Stanley
Great location and cottage was well appointed. We especially enjoyed the port and chocolates. The bathroom accessories were excellent and the dvds were welcomed. Perhaps a broader selection of genres would have more appeal. Only negative comment would be about the condition of the spa which needed maintenance. Breakfast ingredients were very well appointed and overall a very pleasant stay and one which we would highly recommend to others.
It was fantastic we will gladly go back to Ellie’s
We loved how the bed was so comfortable that we slept great. It was clean /fresh and like home. We loved having our own car park space. Loved having the extras DVD’s, chocolate’s, fruit’s and many others. This place was near everything bakers, hotel, chemist, supermarket, art /craft shops plus right near to go up the Nut so we did it a couple of times (good and bad weather). We are a so glad that we stayed at Ellie’s it made our 35th wedding anniversary a great time to remember!.
Nice cozy spa cotrage for two
Everthing provided for a very comfortable & relaxing break. Central location.
Ellie's accommodation is right in the main street of Stanley, yet is situated back off the street with a private off street car park right beside the accommodation. All the lovely cafes, restaurants, shops, beaches and golf course are only a short stroll (between 20 meters and 500 meters). The icon of Stanley is The Nut, 152 meter high monolith with a chairlift to the summit, and it is around this feature the township has been built, making Stanley quite unique, and stunningly beautiful. There are Little Penguins to be viewed in their rookery at the base of the Nut, Seal Cruises operating out of Stanley and you may even see Tasmanian Devils in the wild. You will definitely need to spend 2-3 days minimum to take in all the area has to offer.
