About Steven and Chantal
My wife and I are a middle aged couple with one son living in Sydney. We are both fortunate enough to work from home in our respective professions but sometimes feel the need to escape to the more tranquil and peaceful abode that is Bali View where we can take time out and immerse ourselves in the natural wonder and beauty of the local area. As a keen surfer, kayaker and fisherman, the area is a veritable playground for these types of activities, and without the crowds.
Steven and Chantal purchased this House in 2002
Why Steven and Chantal chose Tarbuck Bay
When we purchased this property, we were looking for a location that was quiet and peaceful and naturally beautiful while also accommodating our interest in water sports and activities, but not too far from Sydney. This property and the local area fit the bill. The property was purchased as a virgin block of 25 acres enjoying a north-easterly aspect over Smiths Lake. Local builders were engaged to construct the house that is now affectionately known as Bali View.
What makes this House unique
What we like most about Bali View is its quiet, private and peaceful elevated north-easterly aspect and position amongst the surrounding treetops, its views over Smiths Lake to the mountain ridgeline beyond, and its central location and proximity to the local beaches and lakes. The house itself, with its open floor plan and high cathedral ceilings, breathes very well, and has a certain tranquillity and ambience that is difficult to define without experiencing it for yourself. Many of the reviews we receive are a testament to this. The house has a practical and open, yet compact floor plan that is suitable for both families and couples alike. The outdoor shower is just a gem and it is something which many of our guests comment upon in their reviews. The house is also ecologically sustainable in its design, being of predominantly timber construction, with an open and practical yet compact floor plan, and with its own water supply. We are also looking into the potential of solar power generation for the house, so that it can function almost entirely off-grid to further minimise the house's carbon footprint.

Bali view is a private perfect retreat our only regret was not staying longer
The house was very warm and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Thank you
House was fully equiped with everything you need. Ideal for families that wants to get away from the busy suburban life.
It was a shame that the weather wasn’t good while we were there. :(
Stunning, relaxing and felt at home
We all had an amazing time at Bali View. A beautiful house surrounded by nature and close to so many things, what more could you want! The kitchen/ house was set up with everything you could ever need, as well as the best magazines and games to play.
The house was sparking clean and extremely neat. We loved all of the beautiful scented candles amongst the house for use too, just making it that extra bit special.
We were allowed to bring out two mastif dogs which we were so grateful for. They both loved Bali View and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. We will definitely be back in the future.
Thank you for your great review. We look forward to hosting you at Bali View again sometime in the future.
Beautiful property in a tranquil setting.
If you are after a quiet and relaxing holiday, this is the perfect place. Kitchen is well equipped. Lakes and beaches are not far away. We enjoyed our stay. The owners are friendly and very helpful.
