Perfect Castlemaine Cottage
We had a lovely time staying in Castlemaine at the Ambrose cottage. Our hosts were absolutely amazing! The cottage is exactly as described with lovely amenities including a beautiful old bath tub and a very comfy bed. We brought our dog and she loved the secure yard and being able to snooze in front of the fake gas fire. Great location (we enjoyed the ten minute walk to the botanic gardens and brewery). We’ll be back!
Home away from home
A very cosy cottage with everything anyone would need to have an enjoyable stay
A weekend at Ambrose
We arrived at Ambrose Cottage to find it comfortably warm on what was a chilly late afternoon. Thoughtful hosts had turned on the air con. Thank you. The Cottage was cosily appointed with beautiful soft furnishings. The kitchen was more than adequately filled with crockery, cutlery and appliances plus treats for us to enjoy.
Our only concern was the shower which is in a very high claw footed bath tub. We were very careful not to fall in or out of the tub! The shower head is large and seems to use a huge amount of water even if you have a quick shower. Water ends up all over the floor and laundry cupboards at the end of the tub.
We did enjoy our stay and would stay again if passing that way.
lovely cosy place for a getaway from Melbourne
Well appointed, great location
once again a most delightful stay in Castlemaine @Ambrose Cottage. Highlights, the Botanic Gardnes, Mill Market, Stonemans Books, Book Heaven, Steff's Cafe, walking around the streets looking at the beautiful architecture, absolute peace and quiet in the evening. Jessica and I cannot wait to come back :-)
18's little cottage
We had a lovely stay at the little cottage, and explore around Castlemaine. Thank you
