Dom Grzyb is a delightful 3 bedroom, two bathroom beach house in a wonderful location at Middleton Point. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac and has some sea views being only a 2 minute (200 metres) walk to the popular surfing break at Middleton Point. The house faces a bush reserve at the front while the back gate opens to a grassy bush-rimmed park with recreation facilities. The house has been upgraded by the architect owner to provide wonderful light-filled and generous living spaces and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Ducted evaporative cooling has been recently installed throughout the house so for those odd very hot days you can still be comfortable and cool. Usually the sea breeze is all you need!! Cedar folding doors open out onto the rear entertaining area with BBQ surrounded by a fantastic garden inhabited by honey eaters. Council tennis courts, a basketball hoop and children’s play equipment are just outside the back gate with a half pipe closer to the beach. The house is on the bike path connecting Goolwa with Victor Harbor.
The Middleton Store is only a short 300 m walk and has a large selection of gourmet and everyday grocery items. Nearby - all within walking distance - are the Middleton Pub, a bakery, a chemist, and the surf shop to hire boards or take lessons. You can also shop for crafts and local curios at the community hall.
The interior of the house reflects the creative talents of the owners from the moment you enter. Warm and cosy with lots to look at inside, an extensive collection of books and magazines for browsing will make your holiday relaxing and fun. The glassy rear extension brings the outside in, with views to the garden and park beyond. There is a wood-fired heater for cool evenings, two TVs, and DVD and CD players.
The house sleeps a maximum of 8 people and would suit two or three couples (there are three double beds) or a family (Note – please bring your own linen, or bedding can be provided at an additional cost and towels while pillows and doonas are provided).

Attractions of the Fleurieu Peninsula
With its Mediterranean climate, central highlands and coastal fringes, the Fleurieu Peninsula offers wine, wildlife and water in delightful abundance. In the peninsula area, there are 60 cellar door wineries - many with restaurants - which offer the opportunity to taste some of Australia's most exciting wines and regional cuisine. Roadside stalls offer fresh produce for your picnic baskets. Australian wildlife presents itself to the visitor throughout the year. Little fairy penguins return to nests on Granite Island off Victor Harbor every evening of the year. Kangaroos are seen on the hillsides in most of the 20 or so national parks, in particular in Cox Scrub, Newland Head and Deep Creek. From May to September, whale watching is magical - southern right whales and their young frolic along the coastlines of Encounter Bay and particularly just west of Middleton Point - walking distance from Dom Grzyb. In 2006, two month-old calves were breaching just 40 metres offshore! Regularly we have whales during the winter months, and on one occasion, we were swimming in the icy winter water, not far from these magnificent creatures!! The Coorong National Park, southeast of the Murray Mouth, is famous for its migratory waders, and the Onkaparinga Estuary, Aldinga Scrub and areas around Mount Compass, Goolwa and Hindmarsh Island reward bird watchers. Winter and springtime wildflowers and orchids delight the keen observer. On the Fleurieu Peninsula, water plays a major part in the recreational activities of locals and visitors alike. Long sandy beaches, rugged cliffscapes, and sheltered coves introduce a range of year-round holiday activities that include fishing, surfing, scuba and snorkeling, sailing and swimming. Bicycling is an easy and pleasant way to explore the South Coast - and Dom Grzyb is located on the Goolwa - Victor Harbour bike track! .
