Family and pet friendly waterfront home in a beautiful environment
About Jacqueline Jones
We Have owned this house since our 21 year old first grandson was 2 years old. by the time he was 10 we bought another house on the lake which we use as our own holiday house. We have rented the lake front to hundreds of people since then, many coming back every year. We usually upgrade the house every year, the most current being putting on the wifi through the NBN.
Jacqueline Jones purchased this Cottage in 1999
Why Jacqueline Jones chose Lake Tabourie
It is about 5 Metres from the lake and 7 minutes walk to the beaches and the island where you can see little rock ponds full of starfish, sea, anemones, a variety of seaweed, crabs and fish. You can also walk all around the island and see an Aboriginal midden of the end of the track. The Island is a favourite place for rock fishing and watching dolphins and the occasional whales.
What makes this Cottage unique
Surfing at Tabourie beach, diving around the islands and reefs, fishing, crabbing and diving for crayfish off the island. Stand up paddling and kayaking in the lake and ocean, watching or participating in para-gliding. Quiet peaceful walks in the Maroo national parks surrounding the lake and the beaches, or strenuous hikes up the local mountains. Dog friendly beaches.. Excellent shopping in Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.

Relaxing exquisite spot right on the water. 5 minute walk along a beautiful track to the beach. Fantastic cosy accommodation. Just divine, could not have asked for anything else. Want to go back as soon as possible. It was so peaceful. Our dogs were also super happy. Thankyou for providing affordable and wonderful accommodation. Just the break away we needed to recharge and relax.
Enjoy the stay my 2 fur babies really like there stay and all the pats they received from people
Would do it again
We had a very relaxing break here.
Everything was as advertised and we made good use of the kayak.
The house is well set up and was very comfortable, thought it could do with a bit of a spring clean though. Very nice position looking out at the lake.
Nice weekend away but the cottage has some issues
We had a nice weekend away in this cottage. The position is fantastic and we had a lovely fire outside near the water. But there are problems with the cottage. The beds are very old and saggy. I now have a sore back after sleeping in the master queen bed for two nights. We tried to move to the other queen bed as it was advertised there were two in the house but it was in a garage (not evident from the photos) with a different key code combination so we couldn't try to see if that bed was more comfortable. And the house wasn't very clean. We found a used bandaid in the bedroom. There was a box with dirty linen in it and the brush and pan was full of rubbish. Also, someone came into the house while we were out which I don't think should happen. There was also no soap in the bathroom - such a small touch but inconvenient. The property is advertised to sleep 8 to 10 but there is only an outside table for four. We knew it was a beach cottage and wanted something very informal and enjoyed ourselves but a few small changes by the owners would make a lot of difference.
Great Place to Relax
Position is Awesome with the water views very relaxing and our fur kids enjoyed it too!
We love to hear that our customers enjoy their holiday.
