cozy cottage close to town
This is a lovely older cottage that is a very short walk to the shops and cafes in Halls Gap. Its nothing flash, but has all you could want. Comfy king size bed. Fireplace with lots of wood provided.
I've stayed there twice with my husband, and will likely go back again sometime in the future - particularly in cold weather..... did I mention the great fireplace?!
Very, very disappointed
I have booked with Stayz many times, but now that they seem to have been taken over the treatment of me as a client was appalling. I was unable to communicate with the owner on important issues, and was given no feedback on concerns I raised. I will never book with them again.
Great time in halls gap.
Loved the house we stayed in ,very clean, most important to me,well equipped with everything you needed,,would stay again .Jackie
Great place to stay
We loved our weekend away here - the location is perfect!! We could walk everywhere!
The house is in a perfect position - literally a couple of minutes from Halls Gap, but positioned in a very quiet dead-end street with some great views. It is very spacious and has a modern kitchen and two separate bathrooms. The rear deck is a very pleasant place to relax and you may well be visited by some of the local kangaroos.
On our second night we discovered the oven did not work. The owner called us the following day to inform us that this was a known issue and an electrician would be along shortly to fix it (which he did). This was a little disappointing.
There was a wood burning fire with plenty of wood, but sadly no kindling or axe. Fortunately it was warm so we didn’t need to use the fire.
The lighting in the living area was rather bright and stark. We re-positioned some of the lamps from the bedrooms during our stay as we preferred softer lighting.
Halls Gap is a beautiful place to visit and we had a lovely time there. I hope that the owners take our feedback on board.
Excellent stay. Turned on the weather as well.
All needs provided for.
There are a few minor things you might like to have a look at.
The ensuite shower door needs some attention to the hinge. It could break away if not attended to.
The top draw of the dish washer needs some stops installed. The draw can drop out as it did once with us.
Probably not much you can do about it but the decibels from the water heater at the rear neighbors property are well above acceptable levels. May annoy some.
Once again an excellent stay
