About Christina Morse
We enjoyed living year round on the lake in this home from 1996 to 2009. It was absolutely wonderful. We have been blessed to now use our large home as a rental for others to create vacation memories. We are local people and are devoted to assure reserved renters have their summer vacation as planned for the summer or off-season. We are lifelong residence of Central New York State and find Cayuga one of the best lakes in the area.
Christina Morse purchased this House in 1994

What makes this House unique
The views and sunsets are amazing. The water foul are wonderful to watch. The eagles are nesting and fish along the lake. The private road creates a great place to walk, run, bicycle, cross country ski. The ramp allows for ease in putting in kayaks, paddle boats, row boat, and small water craft (sunfish sailboats, canoes).
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The house was as pictured. We had plenty of room for 10 of us. The only drawback was the private road to the house. We were all expecting it but it was a little worse. Loved the lake, the deck and beautiful sunsets. Great vacation!
Great Lake location, but just need patience to get there
Our family of 12 and 2 pets enjoyed our stay. The lake location was perfect for fishing, viewing sunsets, and grilling on the deck. Christine answered all my questions in a timely manner as we planned our trip. I was concerned about parking because several of our party had to come and go throughout the week. We wanted to bring a boat. We ended up parking the boat and a couple vehicles at the nearby State Park. Worked out just fine. Steve even offered additional parking at his place if needed. The road was narrow and we worried about meeting oncoming vehicles. But there was always a place to pull over to let others by. At first, we all were worried about the septic tank and the flushes per person. After awhile, we realized there wasn't a need to worry about it. The limits were well within reason. We appreciated given the choice to clean the house ourselves and wash linens ourselves or pay to have it done. We didn't have time to wash linens so we paid to have them cleaned. Now, the one problem with this policy is that someone might not clean to your standards. The linens in one of our bedrooms needed to be washed because there was dog hair all over. But the owners did provide plenty of supplies too clean and do laundry. Overall our family enjoyed our stay even though there was rainy weather.
Great Lake house
We had a great experience at the lake house!! The property was as advertised, clean, and had everything we needed. Christine was easy to contact and responsive to all of my questions. We would definitely consider this property again.
This was my first VBRO rental. Friends I was traveling with had done it but not me. Christina was very helpful through the process and her communication was great.
The house was exactly what we needed and a great place to unwind in the evenings. Furnishings were comfortable and amenities were perfect.
The WiFi was a bit slow when multiple people were on but for the most part this wasn’t a concern
Overall we were very happy with the property and everything about it and the process. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind review, The home is in an area that only has WiFi from a satellite provider. The roadrunner is not available yet, however, the county received a grant and is working on access. In the meanwhile, the speed is fast enough for movies and videos.
Excellent Weekend Getaway
The house is very comfortable and very well sized to accommodate 13 people. My family and I had an excellent time! We were so lucky to find a place that could fit all of us and allowed dogs too. The small dirt road you have to use to access the house can be intimidating, but is not really a problem if you take your time and are not trying to rush. We saw beautiful sunset views over the lake every night.
Thank you. Namaste. The road can be peaceful, if you realize about 20 minutes depending on traffic. It is a 10 mile per hour or less. Home is a little over halfway down (2.5 miles). Homes along the one way ( ingress/egress) are close, neighbors are friendly to slow drivers... Many bird sightings on water and sky. Pilated woodpeckers and eagles. It also provides opportunities for bonding in the car.
We had a wonderful weekend at this lake house, the sunsets were beautiful!
The home is well equipped and is a lovely place for family and friends to gather. The lakeside 5-bedroom home has fantastic views. Come and relax on one of the nicest Fingerlakes in the region. This home has a unique level lake front that allows easy access and easy launch for small watercraft (kayaks, rowboat, sunfish sailboat) . The home has 2-hoists to accommodate 20 ft or less boats (please let us know the weight of your boat). It is located near Long Point State Park to launch motor boats. Located 2.5 miles down a 4 mile private drive allows for privacy as well as area for walking, running, biking, without the worry of high speed traffic. There are five Cayuga Lake wineries nearby (Treleaven, Bright Leaf, Long Point, Hands and Hearts, Dill's run). Local Brewery within 4 miles. Mackenzie Child's grounds and shop, Jane Morgan's boutique, and Long Point State Park. Sleeps up to 13. Bring your watercraft: Kayaks and canoes can launch from shore. Larger boats, can be launch at Long Point State Park. (Availability: PLEASE check calendar)
