About Dianne O'Callaghan
Dianne and Matthew are semi-retired and live on a property in the Adelaide Hills. They are keen gardeners and have three golden retrievers. They love the tranquility and birdlife ofthe Coorong Lakehouse and the dogs love their daily trips to Goolwa Beach
Dianne O'Callaghan purchased this House in 2008
Why Dianne O'Callaghan chose Hindmarsh Island
We loved the Coorong Lakehouse because of the truly magnificent views over the last reaches of the River. Those views change daily. They go from mirrored waters to grey choppy waves.
What makes this House unique
Coorong Lakehouse sunsets are unique. Sit on the balcony sipping wine you have bought from the Southern Vales and enjoy the unfolding colours.

The perfect family break
I love this property. It is in a stunning location and is very quiet and peaceful. My son loves playing pool and swimming/kayaking while we enjoy having a glass of wine and watching the stunning sun sets. Beds and seating are very comfortable and everything is spotless and clean. You feel like you are worlds away from civilisation and yet you have the convenience of Goolwa just over the bridge.
Our second stay at Coorong Lakehouse was very highly anticipated. Dianne and Matthew are very generous hosts adding personal touches to our stay. I would highly recommend this property. From the high quality furnishings and bedding to the serene surroundings...it was a long weekend we never wanted to end. We look forward to staying again soon.
We have just spent a wonderful long weekend at the Coorong Lakehouse. It is serene, picturesque and wonderfully appointed. The pool table was a big hit with the kids. We hope to visit again in the very near future. Thank you to the hosts for all the lovely personal touches.
Best holiday ever!
We loved the coorong lake house! The views and the birdlife in the lagoon are fantastic and the house is super comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were there over Christmas with assorted family and all had a great time - Matthew and Dianne were generous hosts, letting us have an extra couple of days and even supplying a Christmas tree, chocolates and bubbly! Can't wait for the next trip!
It is a great place to relax, unwind and have fun. Lots to do and the kids had a ball. Thanks for the champagne and chocolates as they were a lovely touch.
Coorong Lakehouse is about 2 kilometres from the Murray Mouth by road or 1 kilometre by bot.
You can see the mouth in the distance from the balconey.
Coorong Lakehouse is in a small group of homes. It has a communal boat ramp for launching small boat and is about 2 kilometres from the Mundoo Channel boat ramp.
It is ideal for canoeing and birdwatching. The sunsets are fabulous.
