We moved to the Salt Lake area with our two children in 1984. Never dreamed we'd stay here so long, but we absolutely love the environment. We learned to ski downhill, hiked, biked--this is the place (in case you didn't notice) for so many outdoor activities. Of course Utah also boasts beautiful red rock country a few hours away. Once you get addicted to that, there's no going back! So although our main house is in Salt Lake because of work and school, we loved Park City and looked to find a little "miner's shack" in the area. Our realtor who was showing us around knew the folks who owned our place and took us to see it before it went on the market. It was "quite primitive" but we loved it and the location instantly!

Why chose Downtown Park City
My husband and I thought it would be fun to get a small place in Park City that we could potentially fix up. Of course, we personally had neither the time, talent or the inclination to do the work ourselves. After about 10 years we decided we had to do something major to fix up the place. (No foundation, upstairs floor slanted a lot!) So we did a total gut and moved the house up and back from the street, put in a wonderful foundation that gave us a huge master bedroom downstairs, a dining alcove and a little porch on the upper floor--plus a driveway! Park City Historic Foundation even contributed a little money to the rebuild. Put a lot of love, time, and money into the effort but very happy with the results.
What makes this house unique
Location, location, location! Plus we think we did a pretty good job furnishing it with top notch appliances and furniture. Very comfortable, cozy.
