Beach box 15 a great retreat at Lorne
We love staying at beachbox 15. Nice cozy townhouse. Close to shops and beach and walking tracks. Undercover carport.beach box 15 Is perfectly located. Its perfect for our retreat to relax and also to go out on our outings.
Great place, so conveniently close to everything. Had everything we needed
It was a lovely place, kitchen had everything we needed. We didn't have the children with us but loved to see that there was a baby gate stored in the cupboard for the stairs. Comfy bed. So close to everything. Easily accessible from main street. Would book again if in Lorne.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the Beachbox. Yes, babies are welcome any time.
Great location, comfortable for 2 people
Clean, kitchen fitted out well with utensils.
Doors and windows really need a wash, bit dusty around windows
Would stay again.
Central but noisy
We have stayed at this property a few times but never during the summer holidays. This was our first time staying in January. The property is OK, it has almost everything you may need except peace and quiet. Traffic is constant in that intersection and it gets pretty noisy. The worse part was on our last morning; we wanted to get up and enjoy our breakfast but the garbage collection track decided to park there by our window with the engine running for 20 minutes! When that noise stopped the maintenance guy decided to use his blower to clean the driveway and trim the plants with an electric saw, so not a chance at having a nice morning. To conclude 15 minutes prior our departure time (10 am) the cleaner knocked on our door to see if we were ready. I felt rushed and didn't like it.
Apart from that the property is clean, handy (close enough to the beach and all shops and cafes) and comfortable for 2 people, maybe 3. I would prefer if it had air conditioning because it is too small and can get quite warm in there during the day.
January is the busiest time of year in Lorne when the population expands from 1,100 people to nearly 14,000 and the weekends are the busiest of all. Your either love it or loathe it! Being the only through road, Mountjoy Parade gets pretty busy and I am sorry your last morning was wrecked by the garbage collection, gardener and the cleaners arriving 15 minutes earlier than expected. I don't have control over most of these occurrences, but I shall ask the cleaners not to arrive before 10am.
I do hope you will consider staying again at a quieter time. It will be my pleasure to offer you complimentary day-use on your day of departure so that you can enjoy your breakfast at leisure and in peace and quiet.
A well-designed, good choice in Lorne
Very glad we stayed in Beachbox 15. Comfy, ideally-located, everything works well.
1: that you provide instruction as to how to turn on the cooktop (we were not the only puzzled punters. We eventually worked it out...and then "rescued" some fellow Beachboxers)
2: that you more clearly identify the location of Unit 15's actual keysafe, most especially given the fact that the relevant one was almost entirely obscured by vegetation, whilst the "wrong" one was highly visible.
This would be a better way of directing people to the correct keysafe: "Park on the right hand side of the space immediately below Beachbox 15. You will then find the keysafe on the retaining wall, very near to your vehicle's driver-side headlight."
Great little spot to stay . .
My partner and I stayed at Beach Box 15 over the Queen’s Birthday weekend. And we thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s a nice and cozy place for two. The kitchen and lounge area isn’t very comfy. Upstairs has all you need in terms of bedroom and bathroom. And it’s very close to Lorne’s Main Street and beach. We had a wonderful stay here and would certainly do so again. Thank you.
We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Beachbox 15 and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
