Good Location for Couple Stay
Good location near to small town and easy access to public transport to the city.
Had problem with some power supply including to TV but rectified the next day.
Suggest owner to contact with tennant immediately after check in to check if everything is OK.
So sorry Zamri- when you tripped the power at the circuit breaker it was a one minute fix- if you had contacted us we would have told you to open the cupboard and flick the switch- it was only luck the Electrician was in the building foyer the next day and you ran into him. Much as we try to make everything perfect we can not anticipate someone tripping the power. We never think of Newtown as a "small town" - to anyone local it's the heart of Sydney!!
Perfect space and location.
Great place.... really cool vibe. Perfect for our overnight stay and location was ideal. Very clean, had all the amenities we needed and lovely tea😊 Will most likely stay again when next in Sydney. Thank you for a positive experience.
Thank you Carmen. I’ll make sure there are some extra special teas for your next trip!
Clean , welcoming, comfortable and groovy
We really like the accomodation, as well as the fantastic location the house was very well kept and really welcoming, there were tea milk and coffee, and every appliance and facility you could need, I would stay there again in the blink of an eye
Suited our needs for the weekend
This apartment is in a great Newtown location, perfect for our weekend in Sydney. It is very small but that was totally what we expected. Ruth was very nice and helpful providing info to help with our stay.
Downsides were the lack of kitchen utensils, we were cooking meals but couldn't find tongs, wooden spoon or spatula. This was annoying as we did want a place with a full kitchen but we made do with what there was.
Also the bathroom had a bit of a smell and it was extremely dark in the shower.
The apartment is right on the street but traffic noise not too bad. The neighbours in the same building though were very noisy especially on our Saturday night.
I've sent Anna photos of the 3 sets of tongs- mixing spatula, mixing spoon and egglifter that were in the cupboard with the pots and pans - we do only offer limited cooking facilities- people rarely cook in Newtown-- too many fabulous cafes!!
A very handy place in Newtown and buses and trains within walking distance. A good spring clean and place aired out would make all the difference. Owner very quick to respond to any queries.
If you need a place close to Sydney Uni, the cafes of Newton or with good proximity to Sydney's CBD, this property is worth a look. Compact, exceptionally well located, and with way more of a personal touch than any hotel, Wilson Warehouse ticks a lot of boxes. I even found free parking outside for my big 4WD (an unexpected plus), and the owner was very efficient when it came to making my booking. I had plans to cook a meal for myself but why bother? The cafe and restaurant strip of King Street is a stroll away (and I mean a really short stroll). Best of all, I had a great night's sleep. The street is surprisingly quiet at night - to the point where I felt bad firing up the 4WD in the morning. I will definitely book this property again.
Newtown is the main hub of the Inner West area, only minutes to the city, so many bars and cafes you could never be bored, great shops, markets and lots of second hand clothing and furniture. You can spend days just wandering the main streets.
