About Edwina Savage
We moved to the Highlands 12 years ago. It took us 3 years to find our property. It had the best of both - great house on 100 acres. We built Shed 85 ten years ago to house our helicopter. The three bedrooms were built at the back of the Shed for friends and family - but I felt like I was running a BnB so hence the idea was born along with our third child Eddie ! There’s a four year gap in the reviews because I've had a few longer term stayz.
Edwina Savage purchased this Farmhouse in 2007
Why Edwina Savage chose Manchester Square
It’s the best of the ‘good life country experience’ close to Sydney. As I said we took three years to find this gem - so happy to share our slice of heaven.

Loved the serenity
We had a very relaxing 4 night stay with our three kids and pooch. I think our kids and pooch enjoyed it the most, as they spent most of the day either exploring the beautiful countryside, plus our pooch when not exploring spent most of the day staring out into the green pastures. The pooch was safe as the grounds around shed were fully fenced. The shed had everything we could want, it was warm and cosy and the beds were so comfortable. Sitting outside with the fire burning with a cold beer in hand in the evenings was simply awesome. It felt so private but still only a quick 10min drive back into town where you had all the city conveniences. Edwina was easy to communicate with and provided us with local sightseeing ideas. Would highly recommend.
Relaxing mini break
We had a most enjoyable stay - great place for cycling (mountain biking) and very dog friendly - we took our 2 golden retrievers and they loved it! A very relaxing couple of days.
We arrived to find everything we needed for our stay.
Edwina was immensely helpful and attentive. Cannot recommend the place highly enough.
We will be back :)
You are most welcome Naomi.
We will be back!
We had a wonderful long weekend at Shed 85. Edwina and Hugh were the loveliest of hosts and their property is in such a pretty spot.
We left Sydney early to avoid the traffic and it was no problem to check in early. Hugh showed us around and organised a couple of push bikes for our older kids so they could explore the property. The kids were also keen to toast marshmallows and by early afternoon Hugh had the outdoor fire burning and a fresh pile of firewood ready to go.
Inside The Shed was warm and comfortable and there was plenty of space for us and our 3 kids. There was even a high-chair for our 8mth old.
We loved the bush walks and exploring the property. The friendly farm dogs, Poppy and Missy joined us on our walks and we were so lucky to spot a herd of deer on our last morning.
Shed 85 was the perfect country break for our little family, my 6yr old daughter didn’t want to leave and they’re already asking when we can go back!
Wonderful southern highlands property
We had a wonderful stay at Edwina and Hugh's property. It was a fantastic location, a 5 minute drive to the heart of town. We woke up to horses in the paddock right next to the front door and we spent many hours exploring the property on foot. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a relaxing escape
