Why Hans Brosch / Jennifer Brosch chose Bodalla

What makes this House unique
The Rockhouse was owner built in 1993 from local rock quarried at nearby Cadgee. All the windows including the big curved ones were handcrafted onsite from Australian Red Cedar. The iron and timber furniture is made onsite at Han's forge. We share the property with families of Womats Wallabys & Kangaroos and an array of other wildlife.

Relaxing Family Getaway
Enjoyed a family vacation, very relaxing and peaceful setting. Home is charming and owners Hans and Jenny have created a beautiful hideaway with fire pit, pizza oven outside and plenty of relaxing options inside too. Recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation with family.
Country feel living
We had a wonderful time in the place. Quiet, all to yourself and very clean. Will recommend to everyone who wants to stay away from the town, and just enjoy quietness of your sorrounding.
Unique getaway in the lush South Coast
If you’re looking for something a bit different, somewhere truly memorable where you can drop down a gear or two, The Rockhouse may be perfect for you. It’s on a steep hill in the country outside Bodalla, covered in lush green grass. We saw a family of kangaroos each evening and loved the sounds of the birds. The house is big with interesting touches like the wrought iron beds and the rocking chairs overlooking the view. There’s also a campfire set up outside with log seats and a hook ready for a billy. That said, there’s no Wifi and we couldn’t get the oven working (there’s an outdoor pizza oven and hot plates so it didn’t worry us) but if you’re looking for home away from home, this may not be the place for you. But if you want to get away, toast marshmallows and play board games with family and friends, you could have a fantastic time.
Thank you for your review.
We looked at the oven and found that the fuse out in the fuse-box was in the off position. We are very sorry for this inconvenience to you and want you to know that guests can come up to our house any time or call us on our phones shown in the Homeaway website. We are only happy to come down to help if there are any problems.
The road is a bit steep but there is good grip and it is an all-weather access.
We have Wifi up at our place and guests can sit on the patio and receive it.
With kind regards
Had 8 people stay comfortably with room left over. Property owner Hans was pleasant to deal with and very welcoming.
