Wentworth Haven (formerly Wentworth Lodge)

The location on the edge of the Jamison Valley, the abundance of trees, proximity to waterfall and distance from neighbours make this a particularly restful retreat. 25 mins walk to station.

Recent renovations mean that there is lots of sunlight in the living area. The main bathroom has been redesigned to allow three people to use it. There is a second separate shower and toilet.

Ideal for large groups, with extra beds available on request. Small groups will find it attractive, too with the base price starting at 7 people.

Wentworth Haven is in a good location. It borders on the bush with a bit of a view and a short walk to the falls in one direction and the conservation hut in the other so it feels like you're really in the mountains. We were only 4 adults for a weekend but we enjoyed each having our own good sized room and double/queen sized bed in this 5 bedroom house. It was a freezing weekend with icy winds blowing outside so we really appreciated the very effective central heating, plenty of sofas and a good stove and oven! Alison JUNE 2014

The owners really understand what guests need to have a relaxing and comfortable stay! These things may seem trivial, but as a large family, we appreciated things like different coloured towels, extra hooks to dry them out, lots of pillow options, lots of chairs to sit on, plenty of toilet paper, a well resourced kitchen (and extra dish washing tablets) and a couple of sets of keys! Outside the house, the kids had a blast playing cricket and Easter egg hunting. Loved the proximity to the look-outs. Thanks Eloise for a great stay.

Can't wish for a better location

We had an amazing stay with a family of friends. Plenty of space and beds. The location is just spot on, we did several short and long walks from the house steps. Very happy with everything, will book again.

Wentworth Haven was an incredibly cosy and comfortable location for our weekend away! The location is amazingly close to a variety of spectacular walks, and the house is lovely and warm for the cold mountain nights! Thank you for a lovely trip!

The house was lovely, lots of light and heating worked well. There were 2 whole families, (minus 1 19 yr old )who stayed and there were plenty of options for them all to sleep. There was plenty of bedding and towels, although the towels are getting a bit tired! Great location , we had a really great weekend

I have retired from school teaching and like to work in the house and garden in the mountains.

Why they chose this property

I have always been in the mountains at weekends and holidays. I particularly like feeling close to the bush and far from neighbours, as I live most of the time in the inner city.

What makes this property unique

The situation at the edge of the national park, with views towards Mt Solitary, is the chief attraction. Walking tracks begin at the door, and radiate pines tower over the back of the house.
