Apartment is tucked away in a larger building. No parking spaces were available close by and we had to carry our luggage virtually the whole length of the car park. The interior was clean and comfortably furnished (great bed!) and there was plenty of storage space; however the shower alcove was tiny and provided little space for movement. Not a fan of the artificial plants, but the general décor was effective. The views across the fields to the coast was a plus but take that away and we could have been in a suburban apartment - it lacked the holiday 'atmosphere'.
A great place to unwind and relax.
View is everything, but not for the physically challenged.
The property prides itself on the view, and it has every right to, it is amazing. The many moods over the ocean throughout the day, the roaming cattle and occasional kangaroo in the grassland is wonderful. Location-wise it can get you around and of course to Phillip Island. Most of the time it is a quiet space, and the beds are very comfortable. The Owner's are attentive to booking and reply promptly.
However, having specifically queried the parking & access due to having my older Parents with me and struggling with my own back injury, the accessibility, bathroom and parking situation was a major challenge which was a shock and difficult.
Parking is a nightmare; it can range from 30m to, most often, 250m+. To drop my Parents off at the closest point, I then had to each time reverse the full 200m+ back out. There are more disabled permanent residents than disabled car parks, and the 10minute-spots are used all night due to the lack of parking. There is no short-cut to access the front door while unpacking... it is via a 20m+/- footpath/passageway, and resulted in my Mum having to limit her outings. I definitely think more photos need to be provided to show how this property is accessed!! There is no provided direct beach walk over the grasslands from the resort, which I had understood from the listing.
The shower has no handrail, which given the narrowness and height to step in over the bath-edge, seems mandatory for a rental of this nature. There is also mold issue behind the first bedroom's bedhead in the carpet, wood base and window edges, as well as in the drop curtain; I only realised after I became ill due to existing sensitivities to mold (a reason I was paying to stay in a newer facility!) and started checking. The issue is known as a kit is out to absorb liquids.
The kitchen is practical overall, although the pull-out pantry wasn't working properly and despite advising of it, and having an extended stay, it was not attended to. Glassware & plates required climbing on a chair to access for shorter people.
For the fully mobile and unphased, I'm sure it will tick the boxes and I miss the view, but I think more information would go a long way to ensure one can make the best decision regarding the access and for those reasons I think it is overpriced.
Yes the views are probably one of the best around. There is direct walking access to the beach, just not across the paddock and down a steep cliff, sorry.
To clarify for other guests, in the private off street parking the furthest car park is 100 meters away and there are two ten min parks and one handicapped park, which we mentioned before your stay. The pull panty is designed to not slide out fully so it won’t hit the ground when fully packed as we also told you when you complained upon arrival. If you had mentioned on arrival, your considerable health issues that precluded you and your parents from enjoying our well priced and spacious apartment you could have mentioned it before check in and we would have certainly refunded your stay.
Thank you for pointing out that we are attending to the small amount of damp in one bedroom that has occurred during this tremendously wet season.

Lovely apartment, great location & views
My partner and I had a wonderful four-night stay at Arcadia. The apartment was clean, tidy and had great decor/ammenities. The kitchen had everything you would need - with a gas stove and up-to-date appliances, not to mention a huge fridge. The location is perfect - away from the crowds perched up on the hill overlooking the ocean. I would highly recommend Arcadia for future guests. Thank you to our wonderful hosts who were helpful and quick to respond to any enquiries. We will be back!
