About Amanda Clarke
Hi, I'm Amanda your host at MANDURAH on the TERRACE. Originally from New Zealand, I grew up around the Southern Alps in Otago. I completed school and studied Microbiology in Dunedin before making my way to Western Australia in 1987. I've worked in many different careers since arriving, Assaying in the gold mines of Kalgoorlie, Owner/OHS Officer at my own Exploration Drilling Company, Housekeeping at differing hotels, receptionist at Red Cross Blood Bank and FIFO Mining Bus Driving around Newman. And I've survived the BEST JOB of them all - being a mum to 3 wonderful children. I've travelled to many countries throughout the world and my biggest joy is Cruising to different ports... no matter what though, I always return home to Perth, WA.
Amanda Clarke purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Amanda Clarke chose Mandurah
I lived and raised my family in Perth Northern Suburbs. I use to bring them to Mandurah when they were little to feed the Pelicans on the foreshore. Mandurah was pretty much a little country sea-side town then, with a fish 'n chip shop, a couple of pubs and cafes where only the locals really visited. Over the years I saw Mandurah start to grow, apartment buildings being built, Dolphin Quays being created and a very much need tidy-up of the whole township... I was looking for somewhere to invest and generate a little income and seeing the growth of Mandurah, so I looked no further than Mandurah. MANDURAH on the TERRACE was perfectly located to the parks, pubs and cafes along the foreshore and the beautiful Silver Sands Beach, I love that I can stroll down and watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean... with a wine in hand of course.
What makes this Villa unique
MANDURAH on the TERRACE is located in a secure gated complex near the heart of Mandurah itself. What is so wonderful about here is being able to laze around the pool, splash in the spa and spend some quality time with the kids, or just chill out at home, put the feet up, watch a little telly, entertain in the alfresco BBQ area or just do what families love to do. What I love about Mandurah itself is how it has grown into a little tourist mecca, with it's Mandurah Cruises seeking out the dolphins (which you can actually see from the boardwalk), the pelicans still steal your fish 'n chips so you've got to be weary of them. On sunday, the foreshore park is full of activity - especially for the kids, the green train, camel rides, markets and a fantastic playground which is always full of laughter. Makes me smile everytime I wander down there and takes me back to when my kiddy-cats use to do the same... ahhh bring on the grand kiddies I say.

You are Welcome to stay at MANDURAH on the TERRACE when next you visit West Australia, and Mandurah.
The house was great for our family. Plenty of room and all the extras you could need. A very helpful owner who even left us a Christmas tree to help our stay be more homely.
Comfortable and friendly
The house had a welcoming and comfortable feel to it. Helped make our stay enjoyable, with a lot of extras included, eg. board games, toys and books.
Perfect for our needs
Thank you Amanda for your hospitality and making our stay so very comfortable. Your property ticked every box for our needs. A lovely location too. We will definately be back when visiting relatives. For those wanting family accommodation near beaches and marinas it is ideal.
Good place to stay
We were very happy with our stay at Butlins Down Under. Convenient for the northern beaches and a day trip to the Pinnacles, also easy to get to the city on the freeway.
The massage chair and gym made a nice change. Computer / WiFi was handy for emails, etc. We would happily recommend this to others.
A DVD player in the living area and some more coffee mugs would be good additions.
I like to try and create a Home Away from Home atmosphere for all my guests, with just a couple of extra luxuries. I am so happy that you utilised the extras my home has to offer. Thank you for your feedback, all feedback can only help to improve the service I provide. I have since put a DVD Player in the Living Room and :) more coffee mugs. I look forward to hosting you and your family again.
Filthy, cockroach infested accommodation with some advertised services and items not provided and no apology or refund offered for omitting these. Some items damaged and unusable such as the iron and frying pan. Inadequate kitchen facilities for a family.
Thank you for bringing to my attention these inadequacies of which I have now been able to tend to. I wish you had accepted my offer to tend to these things early-on during your stay, your experience at BUTLINS DownUnder would have been more comfortable. I wish you and your family a happy life in Perth.
