About Cameron Wyatt
This property captured my heart the moment I saw it. Esk is my home town...My Country...I am a "local lad" (body is a bit older). My years working in the corporate sector developing high performance teams and leadership capability via Adventure Based Experiential Learning and Coaching gave me a great insight into how and why people, families and friends need "special places" to recharge, reconnect and refresh. My family and I love sharing The Stonehouse with like minded souls!
Cameron Wyatt purchased this House in 2014
Why Cameron Wyatt chose Redbank Creek
The Stonehouse i unique, spectacular, querky in a great way, hand build with materials quarried and milled of the property. The house itself is something to see and experience. What else? The views are amazing. The panorama stretch to Mt Barney and around the Scenic Rim. Privacy, you are on a private175 acre block that is beautifully forested an has plenty of walking tracks some of the more challenging tracks dropping into wonderful rainforested ravines. You are on the doorstep of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and close to Lake Wivenhoe, Lake Somerset and Lake Cressbrook. Our neighbours are miles away and we border Deongwar State forest if you like exploring forest tracks by 4wd, trail bike, mountain bike. or on foot. If you are into photography you will be in heaven. the sunrises and bush offer up gems nearly every day. We are PET FRIENDLY. Many of your guests are dog lovers. The house is set up for to be pet friendly but if that is not you interest have no worry - you will not know previous guests had dog along for their stay. You are close to Esk and there are numerous high quality cafes and country pubs within easy reach. Day drive options are numerous and interesting. It is possible to host small events given the 150m2 area of deck and we have had a few special birthdays and small weddings. If you have a larger group it is possible to camp but only as part of a "house booking" (camping by separate negotiation). The night sky is spectacular and it is possible to have outside campfires weather and fire conditions permitting. At 520m you can be assured of a cool breeze in summer. In winter the stone building and fireplace come into their own as you would expect. There is simply no reason not to come for a stay. Many of our guests return time and tine again. Our marketing strategy is "a badly kept secret amongst friend" of The Stonehouse! It is affordable and we are keen to help any way we ask.
What makes this House unique
It is a place to recharge and reconnect! It is unique both in the nature of the building and the physical setting on the edge of the range. It is very spacious and very comfortable and clean. It is close to Brisbane and Toowoomba. It is private. it is all on one steps for mobility restricted guests to worry about. the house is wheel chair friendly if not "officially compliant". It will hopefully get you think a little about our environment, sustainability and how we can all live a little more sensitively and better engaged with our precious natural environment. There are simple but important jobs to do the power (modern fully solar off-grid), chop some up and shut the gate, simple tasks from a bygone that take 10 minutes but take you away from your phone and, the "1st world concerns" we can all fall victim to far too easily.
