Peace, serenity and kangaroos
Only 20 minutes from Perth, we entered Narnia. Our family couldn’t believe the beautiful setting Bickley Brook Cottage has. From the back porch looking out over the landscaped garden towards the brook (dry this time of year) and the stunning hill beyond. The house is comfortable, the furnishings simple but more than enough, and we were immediately home. The gourmet breakfast hamper was beautiful (thanks for the muffins especially Michelle) and the stock of basic supplies meant we didn’t immediately have to go shopping on arrival. 6 days passed in a moment, and we’re sorry to leave with the promise we’ll be back soon. Thank you!

Clean, quiet and a complete home.
You wake up to morning views of kangaroos and Western Australia bushland. Walking trails are easily accessible but bring a hat, as there's not a lot of tree cover.
All amenities were good, including air con and wifi which we used as if we were at home with no troubles.
Our host was lovely, and it was comforting that she was nearby but far enough away to feel separate.
I grew up in a different part of Perth and didn't know how closely this kind of hiking was.. and yet it was 10 minutes from a brand new shopping centre, just in case you need the civilisation.
Things I wish I did differently: proper hiking gear and bath salts for the bathtub.
All in all, I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.
Thank you Keven for taking the time to review your stay at our cottage. It was lovely to welcome you both to our hidden valley. So glad you enjoyed your stay and all that Bickley Brook Cottage offers. We do hope that we can welcome you back again in the near future.
Thanks again and best wishes, Michelle.
Very pleasant cottage in beautiful surroundings. The accomodation has all that is required for a family stay and the inclusion of a welcome hamper was such a nice touch. Our host has done an excellent job of providing information about the area which was really useful. This location is perfect for families wanting a peaceful retreat, free from any disturbances and noise yet within a short drive of lots of amenities and places of interest.
Comfortable and well-equipped
Just what we needed for our rainy weekend getaway. Michelle was very welcoming and helpful. The basket was a treasure trove. We didn’t want to leave!

Definitely worth visiting again!
We had a relaxing weekend and really appreciated the freshly made bread. The location was tranquil and we enjoyed our bushwalk; where we sat at points along the brook and found our way back through the bush. The wood fire was lovely and we enjoyed eating breakfast each day at the picnic table down near the brook. If I was to suggest anything, I would suggest a couple more of those lovely chairs on the front verandah as we tended to sit out there in the afternoon or early evening listening to the bees and enjoying our champagne. Overall it was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable which made the time more enjoyable. Thanks for a lovely time.
Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review.
We are so glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay at Bickley Brook Cottage, and appreciated the natural surrounds, the table by the brook and the wood fire.
I apologize, I must have forgotten to mention that there are more outdoor chairs stored in the shed with the bikes.
We hope that we will be able to welcome you back to the cottage again soon.
Kind regards, Michelle
