About this property

Up North Cabin Retreat - Rivers, Lakes, ATV/Snowmobile Trails Await Your Arrival

Your cabin is nestled in a birch forest, a walkable distance (approximately 300 ft) to the Peshtigo river where you can sit and enjoy the serenity or hike and fish. In August and September the property is surrounded by raspberries and blackberries for your picking.

You can ride your ATV or snowmobile to county trails, you're less than 5 miles from boating and fishing on 2 Class A Muskie Lakes, trout streams and cross country ski trails.

Billed as the Waterfalls Capital of Wisconsin, you are positioned amidst 14 scenic and accessible waterfalls which are located primarily in the Marinette County Parks System. Whether you choose to hike, camp or picnic along the tour, a falls excursion is a great way to cap off a weekend or vacation.

The cabin is adjacent to Wildman Adventure Ranch, so perhaps whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, or challenging yourself on their ropes course is in your future?

The cabin has plenty of parking for your ATVs, snowmobiles, trailers or camper. It has its own private backyard with a charcoal grill and firepit. It is furnished with 3 bedrooms-2 with queen beds and 1 bedroom with a bunk bed, desk and an extra single mattress. The couch can be pulled together for extra kids on your adventure.

Responsible dogs are allowed with an extra deposit (dogs must be crated while you're away). There are games, puzzles, and a TV with DVD (no cable). We recommend taking an electronic-free retreat and enjoying yourself, family and nature, the best way to energize your spirit.

The kitchen has supplies for cooking, baking, toasting, microwaving and coffee making. It has a full bathroom (with tub).

We pride ourselves on keeping a clean and comfortable place for your retreat. Fresh sheets are provided. Comfortable beds, with hypoallergenic mattress covers on all beds for your reassurance of a relaxing night's rest. Please bring your own blankets, pillows and towels (blankets and towels available for an extra fee). What else do you need? Let us know. We're looking forward to sharing our magical space with you.

Did what we needed it to do
This cabin was perfect for what we needed it for. The floors could’ve been cleaner and the fans dusted but clean and organized for the most part. Had a little friend in the mouse trap so we got rid of that lol. Definitely a rustic cabin but sleeps many! Nice outside area to hangout. We didn’t get to spend much time here as we just needed a place to crash after a party. Had 6 adults and fit four vehicles easily!

Wonderful little cabin
With a great back yard and excellent, marked parking. We had a wonderful time. The back yard has plenty of room around the fire pit. There is a guy down the road that sells firewood, if there is none on site. It was very quiet. Lots of things to do within a couple of miles. All the tools are provided to keep the cabin clean. Just a really neat set-up. We would definitely rent this again!! We had no communication with the property manager, because we had no need to.

Family of 5, happy to have landed in this special place. We found this property and immediately fell in love with a home calling.

Before kids, Steve and I explored Wisconsin's northeast corner every summer and fall with friends. It became a special place and eventually the place we got married (down the road at Goodman Park). When we pulled up to this unassuming property, opened the car doors and heard the rushing river, and then rounded the corner to see it's magical essence, we were home. The hikes, catching our evening appetizer of blue gill in the morning, relaxing, boating and jumping off the cliffs of the beautiful flowages nearby, picking berries in our yard, meeting the local neighbors and friendly bar and store owners and visiting the largest candy shop in nearby Lakewood make this place a hard place to leave each time we visit.

The biggest surprise at our 2nd visit to see this property was to discover it housed two cabins. We decided to "go for it," making the land and double cabin purchase, and have outfitted the 2nd cabin to share with others. The second cabin has its own charm being set back into beautiful birch and has access to our riverfront property for your viewing and exploring pleasure.

What makes this property unique

For the Troutsman, you are surrounded by:
- 310 miles of Class I trout waters
- 256 miles of Class II trout waters, and
- 48 miles of Class III trout waters

For the musky fisherman:
- Both Caldron and High Fall Flowages are classified as Class A musky waters.

Snowmobilers and ATV/UTVers can catch the trails right from the property. No need to trailer you rig to the trailhead.

For those seeking whitewater adventure, the property sits on one of the longest stretches of continuous rapids in the midwest.

Many lakes nearby for recreational boating and swimming.

Lastly, this area is billed "The Waterfall Capital of Wisconsin" with its 14 waterfalls all within a 20 mile radius.

oh yeah...A perfect getaway and retreat from the hustle and bustle and responsibilities of home.
