The property has marble fireplaces, polished boards, plaster craftsmanship with mouldings and decorations , high ceilings, a carved staircase and a return verandah and a balcony. The interior of the house is painted in neutral colours to highlight the property's beautiful Victorian features.

A renovated rear open plan dining and kitchen area at the rear of the property over looks the large garden. The property is maintained to present great comfort, ambiance and a special experience for a group or family stay.

The freestanding terrace provides windows in every room that ensures the home is light and bright and has views across the landscape including a city skyline from the master bedroom.

The main bedroom on the first floor is large with a King size bed and a large flat screen TV. This room has double doors that lead onto the front balcony that overlooks a park. It has an original white marble fireplace that has been fully restored.

All bedrooms in the Grand Terrace are generous sizes.

The upstairs bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower ,a toilet and a vanity while the downstairs bathroom is a walk in shower a vanity and a toilet.

There is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom with a shower and toilet facilities directly across from the bedroom.

The Lounge room
The ground floor has a lounge room with a large TV and DVD .
There are 2 large couches including Persian rugs and furniture from overseas.
The room is comfortable and nicely furnished .
It has a white marble fireplace that is original from the 1800s It is fully restored.

Beautiful furnishings including rugs and antique furniture make this a special home and a uniquely Melbourne stay.

The Kitchen- Family area
A large fully equipped stainless kitchen including European dishwasher and commerical Goldstein stove has all the facilities for cooking Large french doors lead from the Kitchen family area to the rear verandah and garden
An outdoor area has a large table that seats 8 .The area offers an inviting place to enjoy your evening summer meals whilst overlooking the garden.

In summer, simply open the double French doors in the kitchen family area and enjoy the alfresco eating area with a barbecue and outdoor table with seating for 8 people under the return verandah.

Off street parking is available
Off street parking with a garage and a remote control access for the garage is included in the costs of the stay. There are no parking problems with parking plentiful in the front street.

Hydronic heating is available throughout the entire property.

The solid brick building makes the house cool in summer. There is airconditioning in the front of the house on the first floor.

Nice quality linen and towels are provided.
Free WiFi is provided.

BBQ FACILITIES - The garden is lush and overhead trees provide shade and colour making it a great spot for a BBQ.

This perfect location offers access to Events in Melbourne.
A perfect location for all Melbourne events it is within walking distance to the Convention Centre and the Casino.It is within close proximity to the Grand Prix track.
Sporting and entertainment venues at Docklands and Hisense area are all close with excellent public transport (3 trams nearby)if you do not want to walk.

The Victorian terrace is well serviced by 3 trams that are within 1 minute walk of the property and they all go to the city ,to St Kilda and Albert Park .

South Melbourne and Albert Park boasts a great quality of life in inner Melbourne with good shopping and great variety of cuisine. Local sights include the South Melbourne Market, the Albert Park Lake , the Melbourne Aquatic Centre, the Albert Park Beach, Docklands and St Kilda are all nearby.
The Grand Prix race track is at the end of the street where the Terrace is located.

This is the location to stay for an easy and good quality accommodation that offers something different from a hotel stay but the convenience of being a walk away into the city.

Fantastic grand terrace in South Melbourne
We stayed for the Christmas week at Brenda’s place in South Melbourne and thoroughly enjoyed it! The house is big and spacious with quality furniture and appliances. It’s located in a very nice tree lined area of South Melbourne, easy walking distance to the South Melbourne markets, local shops and Albert Park. Couldnt fault it. Thank you!

Grand old dame
This property suited our needs as a group of four friends in Melbourne for the weekend. It has four generous sized bedrooms and a single room that we didn't use. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which is ideal for those who may not manage stairs well. There is also a downstairs bathroom with shower. The upstairs bathroom is shared by the other bedrooms and has a shower over bath. The property is ideally located within two mins walk to tram stop to the CBD and 10mins walk to South Melbourne Markets. It is an older residence with old style quirkiness but very functional. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house for great family getaway
The best thing about the house is imagining what the walls have seen and heard! Full of character and interesting touches. Each bedroom is different - the beds are comfy. The floorboards are beautifully creaky (so no sneaking downstairs for midnight snacks without being heard). The kitchen has everything - not that you need it with South Melbourne markets so close. If you order Uber Eats - make sure you tell them to come to front of the house and not the back lane. Host was easy to contact.

Such a beautiful house, full of charm and character. It made our stay all the more special. And what an absolutely cracking location, a short stroll to all the South Melbourne has to offer, including the Grand Prix and markets.
