Great location lovely clean cottage. Could do with updating over ware pillows and wifi

A holiday oasis
On first impressions, this cottage is in an idyllic position. A place to rest and relax and enjoy what Semaphore has to offer.
The openness of the lounge/meals/kitchen area is welcoming with plenty of entry/exit doors to the veranda to enjoy the views.
What we didn't really appreciate was the long list of expected duties before we exited from our stay like wash the floors, clean the toilets etc. What do we pay the fees for?
The bed was relatively comfy, the sheets were not of good standard though and, even though we were staying for 9 nights, we were not left a 2nd set of bedding. The charges made for bedding too are extortionate! It would have been cheaper to go to K Mart or Target and purchase our own set of bedding.
The kitchen was reasonably equipped however, if only all tennants washed their own dishes properly each time they were used or checked the state of the dishes when unloading the dishwasher, it would certainly make for a more pleasant start for the next occupants. Sad to say but the dishwasher is obviously in need of a service - this was pointed out to Century 21 when we returned the keys. The problem was that the dishwasher stopped mid-cycle and needed to be restarted, many times!
We also found an issue with the washing machine in so much as a puddle appeared on the floor from the right hand front corner causing a slippery, wet floor.
A couple of other issues that required maintenance were the sliding doors between the walk-in robe and bathroom - one of the doors was not even sitting on its tracks so couldn't be closed. Again, this was pointed out to Century 21 when we returned the keys.
The location to the beach and shops is great - just a 2 minute walk to a large pantry in the form of Drakes supermarket. No need to stock up on too much food!
We enjoyed our stay but, we would certainly think twice about booking again through Homeaway due to their exorbitant "service fee".
Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly take on board your comments. We are glad you enjoyed the fantastic location. Happy Travels the team at Century 21 Semaphore.
We loved the property because the distance to the beach was very short and to the shops to.
great place to stay
We have only good things to say about this rental. We have rented other properties in this area, but this one has been our best!
Great location, great property
We really enjoyed our stay in this light filled property, perfect location, water views, very quiet with a park outside as well. Have stayed in Semaphore previously but this will be our first request when we return. Century 21 Semaphore took care of the booking (Maria) she was just fantastic. Everything ran like clockwork right down to the pronto return of our bond for the booking. A friend also stayed upstairs in the loft with a separate entrance, shower/toilet etc. great for extra space for a small amount of extra cost. Just like home...
Nice place in an excellent location. Great for relaxing and access to key locations
Semaphore is bounded to the north by Union and Hargrave Streets, to the south by Hart Street, to the west by Gulf St Vincent and to the east by Woolnough Road and Swan Terrace. Semaphore is primarily a residential suburb, although its seaside location makes it a popular local tourist destination, with numerous restaurants, takeaway food outlets and other tourism-oriented businesses. It is adjacent to Semaphore South, Glanville, Exeter and Largs Bay.
