Ready to come back here again!
Such a beautiful home to spend a weekend away in!
- Great interiors, lots of artwork
- Kitchen had everything you could possibly need for cooking
- Location is prime and a great base to go explore the surroundings.
- The fire combined with the bedroom wall heaters worked really well to keep the house warm.
- The backyard was great, especially the big tree in Autumn, just beautiful!
Lovely couple of days.
Neat & light.
Main bathroom could do with a better window dressing for more privacy at night & we would have loved a couple of big comfy couches in the lounge room, but beds were comfy & house has lovely character.
Enjoyable relaxing stay
Clean and neat cottage with all we needed for our stay
Lovely house, comfortable with a beautiful garden
Had a great weekend would stay again
Cute, comfortable and pretty - squeaky bed :(
Just like the pictures. First couple to arrive we got to test the beds, thank goodness. The bedroom on the right of the door the bed squeaks incredibly. A must is no squeaky beds. I loved the house, the furnishings, the retro feel of the lounge but the squeaky bed made a lovely stay not so good. The master bedroom was perfect for me, the back yard lovely, the area lovely. Good linen, towels, face washer supplied. I can't imagine the heating being sufficient in the lounge room in winter. there was very little fire wood for the coonara fire place. the other heater didn't even make any difference. We didn't need the heating the second night. thought it odd that only green tea bags supplied, no milk. didn't matter but odd. I would recommend putting a few mugs for coffee drinkers rather than the very sweet tea cups. there is a cut off of functionality verses "the look".
Lovely classic cottage in good location
The house is well presented, especially the bedrooms and bathroom, with good decor and a mix of classic and 50s/60s styling pieces. The kitchen is quite small but serviceable, with the only issue the cooktop that needs some attention.
The living area is decent but would have preferred more conventional sofas, and personally not a fan of the plain plywood finish on some walls. Internet/wifi again would make it more attractive.
Heating was adequate- electric wall heaters. Didn't use the wood heater, but others coped ok with getting down to 0C at night.
The garden was lovely, and a great space for kids/dogs.
Location was convenient and reasonable walking distance to both the main town and also the Farmers Arms to enjoy great food and drink.
Owner was easy to communicate with via HomeAway.
Would recommend this accommodation for others and would be happy to use again.
