About adele wilson
I grew up in The Netherlands and worked there as a teacher in arts/textiles for many years. In my 30th I migrated to Australia and worked as an arts therapist in a MS day centre. After that I joined my husband Ross in his health food shop and also ran a health cafe with gourmet catering for quite a few years. A few years ago we started renovating the historic Manse. I myself designed and created all the interiors while Ross designed and build all the rockeries and gardens. We are very proud of what we have achieved to bring this 1862 home back to it's former glory and much more. In 2015 the homestead was ready for accommodation as a peaceful retreat.

Why adele wilson chose Lancefield
We looked for quite a few years for a property with character and the feeling of peace. We travelled often through the Macedon Ranges and found the area of Lancefield having a peaceful energy. By devine guidance we were drawn to this property as soon it went on the market. From that very first day we felt we were the chosen guardians of this property and that should be enjoyed by others.
What makes this House unique
This homestead was build for the minister of the Presbyterian church. This was ones the home for many families for the ministers from the church. The house is full of original features, all the fire places are intact and the original cooking fire place is still as it was in the 1800's. The grounds have tree's over 100 yrs old which gives the property its ambiance and tranquility.

Well appointed historic house on the main road to Lancefield in proximity to wineries and forests!
A gorgeous house to stay in for up to nine people. Lovely gardens great for reading and strolls. The kitchen is well appointed to cook for big dinners albeit small if more than two to three people in there at the same time. It’s close enough to Melbourne that people can come up for the day easily to see you. Adele and Ross are welcoming hosts, leaving lots of treats to make your stay comfortable.
Exceeded our expectations
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was equipped with everything you might need and it was beautifully presented. My family (including a 2 year old) stayed with another couple and the set up was perfect. I highly recommend this property.
Lovely and very appreciative. Great to have you Rebecca staying with us. Many thanks to your all to leave the house immaculate. You are very welcome to stay again. Adėle
Homestead, The Manse.
lovely and homely
We booked this house for our family to stay in when we got married in the area - Adele was so friendly and accommodating, even offering us early check in so we had more time to get organised for the wedding. Lovely and warm even in September, the complimentary breakfast items were a lovely touch
Fantastic Shimara. Thanks heaps and hope to see you again in the near future at Homestead,The Manse. Warm Regards, Adele with
Many congratulations on your wedding and the very best wishes.
Worked so well for us
We used the Manse as the base for our daughter's wedding. Plenty of space for us and the members of our party - children, grandchildren and friends.
A very relaxing country stay, lots of atmosphere.
Brilliant Property & Host
We recently stayed at the Mance as a group of friends for a concert at Hanging Rock. The house was fantastic and the host, Adele was brilliant. We had a stocked fridge on arrival and even the fires were stoked and ready to light. The gardens were also nice and relaxing. Adele also organised a bus for us to the concert. Absolutely recommend for a family or group of friends
My friends and family were very impressed with the quality of The Manse. Adele's attention to detail in every room was amazing. We were transported back to the olde' world but with all the modern conveniences. We had a wonderful special weekend and the accommodation was excellent. Would recommend The Manse to anyone for a relaxing weekend away.
