About Bob & Kim Coffman
My husband Bob and I are avid RVers, white water rafting lovers, and die-hard lovers of the beauty that Oregon has to offer. I am originally from Louisiana, (yes, I am a Cajun), and I know how to make several great Cajun dishes from scratch. I've enjoyed using local offerings (e.g.: seafood, fresh produce) in new ways. We are also both musicians. Bob plays drums, and I am a folk singer/songwriter. We are also boxer lovers, and are biased believers that they are the BEST dogs ever. You will meet Jackson, who is loved by everyone, and his new side-kick 'Jilly' (To see pics of these two, please visit their Facebook page (search for 'Jackson the Boxer') They will be delighted to make new friends. If you are NOT a boxer lover, or a lover of dogs in general, no problem. We will keep 'Jack and Jill' out of sight, and out of the house, during your stay. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about our place, the area, and things to see and do, if you are new to Portland, Oregon, We've been AirBnB hosts since May of 2015, and since then, we have discovered how much we truly love it. We have made some AMAZING friends, and have already enjoyed seeing some of them more than once! What you can expect here at our renovated farmhouse, is a place to come and relax. You can enjoy the views from the back deck (or the front). We have resident hummingbirds year round, a barn owl that lives in the silo next door, fruit bats that come out at dusk and eat 'skeeters', and occasionally, bald eagles that fish in the lake behind our house. You can enjoy the smell of honeysuckle, lavender, and lilacs during the warm season, and enjoy the amazing fresh produce that is available at our many farm to table markets, and produce stands. There isn't a season here, that we don't enjoy. Bob and I stay in our 42 ft. 'palace on wheels' (trailer) at the very rear of the property, affording you privacy and space, while still being close enough to see to your needs, should you have any.

Why Bob & Kim Coffman chose Hillsboro
When I saw this property for the first time, when our real estate agent called us out of the blue, I was blown away by the pastural views of nurseries, and farmland, which at that time, were 60 acres of red clover, which looked like a solid carpet of red. As I walked up to the home, there were beautiful flowers in the yards, and this incredible view in the back, of a water reservoir/small lake. I brought my husband back to see it, and I said I WANT THIS HOUSE! Then we fought for it, against a lot of other people who also wanted it, and WE WON. :) That was the beginning. There was a lot of work to be done to bring some modern features into the home, while still trying to maintain the country charm feel. I am still constantly changing and updating things in the house, and I probably always will be.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
We have amazing sunsets and sunrises here. One of the first things people comment on, when they look through the windows and french doors at the back of our house, is what an amazing view we have here. Pastoral views of farmland, it can be filled with wheat, or winter grass, or red clover. There is a water reservoir in view, and an orchard right next door. The views from the bedrooms are pretty great, and you will feel relaxed here. Plenty of games, 65 inch 4K TV with Dish Network & premium channels, fully stocked kitchen, nice dining room, and warm pellet stove in the winter. Enjoy the hot tub in the winter, and enjoy looking at the stars at night. We have a great grill right off the deck for cooking steaks, chops, or whatever you might want, with a small refrigerator for convenience. Also, enjoy the homemade jams and jellies we make available, and purchase some to take home for souvenirs if you like.

Kim and Bob's farmhouse was perfect, if you like country charm, this is the place. We were very comfortable here, the beds were comfortable, the living area that has very comfortable furniture, fit the six of us nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The house was immaculate ! We enjoyed the gardens and fruit trees , which attracted birds, and butterflies the hummingbirds came daily and put on a show. I highly recommend this home. Thank you Kim and Bob for sharing your home with us.
Gorgeous Farmhouse/lovely owners
If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. This is such a charming and comfortable farmhouse. The owners have stocked it with everything you could want or need during your stay. Kim and Bob are wonderful and full of information about the surrounding area. You are close to Portland but there is also a lot to do in Hillsboro (check out the Tuesday night market if you get a chance). Come back to the farmhouse for a nice relaxing evening and relax on the jacuzzi. Thanks Kim and Bob for a wonderful stay!
We were visiting the area for our son's wedding and loved the countryside setting of this home! It was so welcoming and plenty of room and a nice deck with views to enjoy a glass of wine. Kim and Bob were great hosts and so helpful with any questions we had. Highly reccommend!
Beautiful peaceful setting in a comfortable Farmhuose. Just what we like ... close to area sights and amenities, yet remote enough away from the bustling crowds! Nice accommodating hosts Kim and Bob.
Beautiful home, beautiful area.
This house was perfect for our needs. In town for my sister's wedding in portland and needed a place that would fit 9 people. This was exactly what we needed. It was great to be put of town in a quiet peaceful area. We looked forward to,getting back to house every night after busy days in the city. The hot tub was amazing!!! The hosts were wonderful and very helpful.
The house provided us with all we needed, it was clean and well stocked. I love the country feel and historical home. Our family was able to gather and enjoy each other. Thank you
When I went thru the list above, and checked off local things to do, I checked 'yes' if it were something you could easily do just for the day. For example, The beach is 70 miles from the house, but you could spend a little over an hour to get there leaving in the morning, and drive back in the evening. Everything I've checked off falls within this rule.
