Melinda C purchased this House in 2015
Why Melinda C chose Anaheim Colony Historic District
Located on Water Street about 1 mile north of Disneyland, this location is very unique within the city of Anaheim because it is close to Disneyland and other tourist attractions such as the Packing District, Anaheim ICE, Angel's Stadium, Honda Center, Anaheim Convention Center. Yet, it offers a serene, safe environment for your family to relax. The community is low density with only ranch style homes that are single-level. You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the beautiful, tree-lined streets. The property is close to many restaurants, museum, parks, sports venue. Grocery stores are also located within a few blocks.

It was a great location not too far from Disney. It was a very nice neighborhood. Loved everything about this house
Good for big groups, good location. Cookware needs upgrading. Unresolved plumbing issue
• Very convenient location: quiet residential area away from loud highway traffic, 30-40 min walk or a $6-8 Uber trip from Disneyland, 15 min drive from major big box stores (Walmart, Costco, Target), 15 min walk from Anaheim Packing District.
• Clean spacious bedrooms, living areas, and kitchen; great for large groups.
• Plenty of drawer and closet space, and many hangers provided for clothes.
• Bathroom plumbing prone to clogging (see details below).
• Bathrooms appeared old, lacked counter space, no hooks for towels (1 bathroom did not have any hooks, and the other had unsecure towel bar). No shampoo/bodywash or tissues provided.
• Dishes and cutlery were not clean; needed to be washed again before use.
• No water kettle, so water must be boiled using an old coffee maker.
• Pots & pans were worn, had wobbly handles. Inconvenient to cook for large groups when much of cookware felt unsafe for use (e.g. risk of the handles popping off while transferring hot liquids/content).
• Barbeque grate was in poor condition; high risk of rust sticking onto food.
"Overall, it was an adequate experience. The house itself is spacious & clean, centrally located between multiple points of interest. It was well supplied with towels, dishes, and cutlery for large groups.
A major plumbing issue occurred on our second last night. Both toilets & showers suddenly backed up at the same time, filling the tub/toilet bowls with drainage water. Dirty water seeped out from the base of the ensuite toilet. Melinda responded to our call quickly and sent over a plumber, who found tree roots clogging the pipes. Based on conversations with Melinda and the plumber, this was not the first time this issue has occurred. The process of fixing the plumbing went from 11:34pm until 2:30am."
Melinda was quick to respond and send over a plumber, but gave unclear communication about whether she would send cleaners to clean up the mess the morning after, and ultimately did not do so. There were no cleaning supplies available at the house, so we could not properly sanitise the bathrooms that night. We spent our last night tip-toeing around soiled bathroom facilities.
While we enjoyed our time at Melinda’s house, the sewage backup & lack of clean up was disappointing. We would still recommend staying here, but probably not until the sewage situation is definitively fixed.
Joshua, I apologize for the inconvenience of the plumbing issue. I will prepare cleaning supplies in the house from now on. I did inform our cleaning crew to stop by to clean up after late night plumbing repair. Please accept my apology.
Excellent location to Disneyland. Literally a five minute drive right around the corner. Close to Costco, Target and various grocery stores and shopping centers. Lots of hot water for the entire family and home is very spacious for a large family. Beds are comfortable. Convenient to all major Feeways. Great place to stay for a family!
Good location, sparse amenities
We had a good time. The house is nice, but old. Plenty of space for our family. Easy access to the Disneyland parks (but a bit far to walk with kids). I was surprised that nothing was provided in the bathrooms--no shampoo, soap, or anything of that nature. That was disappointing. I ended up walking to a nearby convenience store and paying high prices for small bottles of shampoo, etc. Also, it was a good thing that we didn't need to use both futon beds, because there weren't enough linens for both of them.
The house was clean and we had plenty of room for everyone.
Lovely quiet home in great location.
This home was a perfect location for our families. It was quiet and close to all of our events. Thank you for such a great place to call home for our vacation~!
