About Jason Day
My partner and I love renovating and travel. We often use HomeAway when we travel and really like getting to live like a local instead of staying in a hotel. We really wanted to be able to offer the same experience for travellers to Temora.
Jason Day purchased this House in 2013
Why Jason Day chose Temora
My partner and I purchased the house with the intention of keeping it as our weekender. We've been lucky to find out some of the history of the cottage through family of the previous residents. The cottage has a great feel to it and there's nothing better than taking the time to sit on the front veranda with family and friends and watching the sun set.
What makes this House unique
What I think you'll like about the cottage. Obviously I love relaxing on the front veranda, although having a BBQ in the back yard is also great fun This works well as you can have the space to have one group of people out the front and another out the back. Also the bedrooms are all really comfortable and quiet. We installed soundproofing in the walls to minimise any traffic noise outside. The beds are all 1000 thread count quality linen and super comfy.

We loved our stay. As soon as you walk in the door you feel welcome. The kitchen was a great space and well stocked, including a jug of filtered water waiting for us in the fridge. The living room was perfect and the bed and linens were fantastic.
Thank you Jennifer. It was a pleasure having you stay.
Bradford cottage was a fantastic place full of old world charm and touches!
Bradford cottage was the perfect weekender for our family. With large rooms and open kitchen area there was plenty of space for our weekend away. Located a short distance from town meant the cars could stay at home. The personal touches added to the place - little soaps, variety of tea, actual coffee pods, sufficient toilet paper (may seem trivial but often something you need to buy more of) and a bottle of bubbles on arrival made you feel most welcome and at home.
Jason was fantastic at communicating in regards to our impending arrival and details required along with a contact number to be used at any time.
I wish we could have stayed for longer!
Thank you Briony. It was a pleasure having you all stay. Appreciate the feedback. JD
Overall stay was wonderful, the property appeared to be well maintained and welcoming. Moreover, we loved the countryside and driving through the farms. It would have been even better if there was a dishwasher in the house.😀. Highly recommended.
So comfy and beautifully renovated
Our family of 5 stayed for a weekend. Upon arrival our young children ran in saying "We love this house!" Jason has really renovated the place well. Great thought has gone into making it new yet keeping touches of the era. Very warm in winter with ac and electric blankies. Jasons communication was first rate too. Hope to stay again!
Character and comfort
Loved the character of the home.
Heater in room and reverse cycle AC kept us warm.
Great creature comforts such as coffee pod machine and foxtel.
Also love the day lounge on the front porch, great spot to have a read and a coffee.
Although on a central road didnt hear any road noise.
Owner is very helpful and has done a great job of renovating.
Bathroom not updated but has all you need.
Thanks for a lovely stay.
Charming cottage in lovely town
The cottage is as depicted in the photos and was very well equiped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, especially the kitchen. Despite being near a main road we did not have trouble with road noise at night. As a slightly older couple, the only slight issues we had were that we found the chair and couch in the lounge room a bit uncomfortable for sitting and watching TV and a bit hard to get up out of (but we are a couple of old crocks). The bathroom is off a "built in verandah" type room so is not really in the main house. Even though you don't go outside as such, it was quite cold going to the loo during the night, this appears to be the only room that is yet to be renovated. We had a choice of 3 queen beds as there was just the 2 of us. They were all made up which was great, we were able to choose which room we prefered, so we chose the one closest to the loungeroom (therefore the reverse cycle heater) which was very comfortable (very high but this was ok, it had a lovley mattress topper). Each bedroom had a portable heater if needed but we just closed the other 2 rooms and used the reverse cycle unit in the lounge. Jason was very easy
to communicate with, he made sure everything was in readiness for our stay and allowed us to have a slightly later checkout on Sunday. We would definitely stay again should we find ourselves in Temora, Thank you Jason.
