Welcome to Port Douglas Reef Club, proudly and privately owned and operated by myself. I love Port Douglas and I've been holidaying here for 15 years, finally I decided to buy a holiday apartment so that I could visit more often!

Why Monica O'Hare chose Port Douglas
I chose Port Douglas Reef Club for it's location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach (I walk up the beach for my early morning coffee and sometimes stop for Yoga on the way) and a 10 minute stroll into Macrossan Street with it vibrant cafes, shops and nightlife. Nearby is the Sheraton Golf Course and the Marina for your trip to the Barrier Reef.
What makes this Apartment unique
My background is interior design and decoration, and I understand what my guests want in a property. You will find the apartment has been recently re-designed with a cool, island vibe. It's a well-equipped property with everything that you will need.

Not quite as expected
The property didn’t look anywhere as good as the online pictures. The TV didn’t work, the freezer did not work, the inside of the house was not clean.
Unfortunately these guests left damage to the apartment in excess of the deposit bond that is required. The current guests have kindly agreed to allow electricians and painters in during their stay to repair the damage caused by the previous guests, I would not allow the previous guests to stay again.
Such a pleasant stay
The apartment is cozy and stocked with all you might need. Monica's communication was thorough and complete. The apartment was close to the beach (walking distance) and close to all shopping and restaurants. My daughter and I really enjoyed Port Douglas and the accommodations.

The apartment was very nice, well decorated, but the kitchen space is much to small. Furthermore, the apartment lacks an interior eating area, which is inconvenient on rainy or very hot days. Nice swimming pool area and confortable
I'm so glad that you found the apartment was pretty and carefully decorated, but I'm disappointed that you found the kitchen smaller than anticipated and that you didn't enjoy the outdoor dining on the covered balcony.
As Port Douglas is a tropical holiday destination many apartments have outside dining areas, and every apartment in Reef Club has been designed with the same configuration. I do endeavour to describe the apartment in detail and I believe that the pictures represent the apartment truthfully. I hope it didn't spoil your holiday. Best wishes, Monica

But I notice that you found it a 20 minute walk to the main street, that does seem to be a long time, it takes me 10 mins to walk as it's less than a kilometre away. I hope you used the mini bus which stops right outside Reef Club if you needed to carry shopping back to the apartment, it's a great little bus.

Beautiful apartment perfect for families
Our unit #55 was lovely, well designed and clean. Monica left some key essentials for us such as toiletries, coffee and cooking essentials. Beautiful quiet location with only a very short walk to the beach and shopping. We awoke each morning to kookaburras and white cockatoos. Perfect for families.

Great location for the marina
Even though we stayed in the wrong apartment. It was lovely and everything was there for our needs.
Plenty of nice fluffy towels for our use.

RELAX IN THIS PRIVATELY OWNED AND MANAGED DECORATOR'S APARTMENT
Three minutes walk to the beach and ten minutes to the town with shops, cafes & restaurants, bars, golf, marina, and the yacht club. Couples, solo adventurers, friends and families are all welcome.
Freshly redecorated with a cool, tropical vibe, the apartment has two seperate bedrooms each opening onto a balcony, full bathroom and brand new kitchen. The resort has a pool, landscaped gardens, BBQ area and a tours desk.
Apartment 55 in an excellent location. Just a few minutes walk to the famous Four Mile Beach, and a little further to The Marina and Macrossan St, the heart of Port Douglas, with vibrant cafes, shops, entertainment and fine dining.
But The Reef Club is still far enough away from the town to appreciate the tropical atmosphere and quiet surroundings. This apartment looks out over the landscaped gardens with the BBQ area and pool. Also on the top floor of a low-rise means no noisy neighbours above.
The stylish apartment has two seperate bedrooms each opening onto a balcony, full bathroom with bath and shower and new kitchen with a cook-top, microwave and fridge. Free wi-fi.
Up to six guests can be accommodated.The main has a king bed or two single beds if required. A queen bed in the second bedroom. Each bedroom opens onto a balcony. In the lounge room a fold-out sofa bed allows for 2 additional guests. We have a cot and high chair available on request.
Upon your arrival you will find professionally laundered bed linen. We provide each of our guests with bath and hand towels, face washers, bath mat, pool towels and tea towels. A complimentary bathroom amenities pack and tea, coffee and milk are also provided for your arrival together with dish-washing liquid, laundry powder and J cloth to start your stay. It is a self-service apartment so the room is made up on your arrival and you take over from there. A mid stay service can be arranged if required.
Downstairs in the landscaped gardens you will find a large covered BBQ area for guest use – a fabulous spot to enjoy the tropical scenery while you BBQ the days catch. The pool and spa are situated nearby set in landscaped gardens with shaded areas from the midday sun.
Downstairs you will find a large communal laundry with washing machines, dryers and a laundry tub. All machines take $1.00 coins. Undercover and off-street parking is available.
The apartment offers a less-expensive choice of holiday and is ideal for families, friends on a budget or simply a couple taking advantage of the low rates for a long-term booking.
I have another apartment on the same floor, Number 60. It's slightly smaller and very quiet. It can accommodate 5 guests in 2 bedrooms. Please send an enquiry if you wish to book both together at a discounted rate
